Had to listen to most of the first half on the radio but saw the second half. Impressed with us insofar as I thought we played well but more importantly, we won the game after we missed the pen. That was more a sign that we have a bit of steel now than the Chelsea game.
Remember under Poch against Watford when Deeny shouldered Sanchez into next week at 1-0 and we crumbled to lose 2-1. Remember Boro last year when everyone on here knew we were losing. It was like it was written in the stars. Well it felt like that today and yet we stemmed the tide without conceding a real chance and scored a second. We do need more control of the ball but I was impressed today.
Defenders were immense I thought from what I saw particularly Sanchez. PEH did okay and Kane was brilliant. Richarlison very good too with epic brickhousing thrown in. Happy with that. Great start but still much room for improvement.

It wasn’t pretty, very frustrating at times.
But.
Most of the team played well.
Our problem this season, as mad as it sounds, when one of them scored all of our goals today, is that the best offensive duo in the game, aren’t playing well enough.
Richarlison needs to start the next game.
