*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Everton FC ***

Just seen this on BBC

Tottenham XI: Vicario, Udogie, Van de Ven, Romero, Porro, Johnson, Bissouma, Maddison, Odobert, Son, Kulusevski.

Subs: Forster, Dragusin, Richarlison, Gray, Bergvall, Werner, Spence, Sarr, Davies.

Is this correct? Who is in the no8 role? Fudge that! Who is the striker? Better not be Son!! We all know that doesn't work. What is Ange playing at?

Oh no, all our runners against a low block, and nothing to defend a counter. In Ange we trust!

Maddison and Son linked up well. Have to keep them. Kulu is tricky more than quick. And let’s see what Odobert can do.

What I like is no one is a favourite. Johnson is Ange’s signing. His boy as it were. Yet he’s rightly dropped him for not showing up last week.

A meritocracy

Johnson is starting? Maddison and Son need space which they won't get.

I am not sure I agree. There is too little data in my view to confirm that it is a meritocracy. One clear thing is that the midfield selected for this game is weak. Everton will bully that midfield.

No midfield in a midfield that regularly gets caught on the break and out of position is almost genius.
