***OMT TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR v Emirates Marketing Project***

Emirates Marketing Project now that, providing the peg the FBs back (by hacking them down mostly) we don't have the pace to trouble them on the counter. So they can afford to over commit players.
As soon as we put on Son/Sissoko/NKD they will be forced to sit back more. But if we don't put some pace on it will be more of the same second half.

Well I didn't think that Man C line up had that in them.
Giving Acimovic, Bunjevcivic and Clemence a torid time.
We are like a someone playing FIFA for the first time and they haven't quite worked out the buttons yet.

Very lucky... Good news is that they somehow didn't score.

Our midfield once again proving incapable of playing through a good high press with anything close to a good frequency. Might be a big ask, but we must consider Winks if the second half doesn't look very different.

Poor half, but for when we've played poorly before it usually been self-inflicted. You have to give credit to City who have caused us to play poorly

We need to get some possession and cut out the mistakes and we'll be fine. Wimmer needs to wake up as well

Terrible first half, but defended our box very well.

Not for the first time this season, we are the oppositions playmaker. Hugo, go long and tell the team to push up so we can actually win the 2nd ball from the long kick. Hopefully Poch sorts that at half-time.

Walker, Wimmer and Wanyama have all been very poor imo, but we have to give credit to City -- their game-plan and execution has been better than ours.

Hopefully, Poch can produce a tactical change to combat City better. Win the 2nd half and win the game. COYS!

Cant challenge them if you don't have the ball

True.

I'm not going to say we've been bad (though I don't think we've been good). Emirates Marketing Project have been very good though.

I hope Poch gives them a kick up the ass over half time. And hopefully Emirates Marketing Project start to drop their level a bit.

Getting to ht with that performance still at 0-0 speaks both to our improvement as a team and also the same deficiencies that Emirates Marketing Project have exhibited all season (including against Chelsea for example).

Let's see what we do.

0-0 at HT feels like a massive let-off.

Something has to change second half, maybe Sissoko for Eriksen who even I have to concede is being strangled out of the game.

This could be one of those games. City are doing everything apart from scoring. We may just be able to nick one and win it

Clearly rattled from their pressing so we need some drastic changes. Dier into midfield got a small improvement but we were still useless with the ball and open in behind. I have no idea what's required. Come on Poch!

It's amazing that the players don't figure out for themselves that going long is a better option. Instead they persist on trying to play it out from the GK even though City have nine players pressing in our half!

There have been couple of times we've won it or it has broken for us in midfield and literally they have no defenders. We just need to take these opportunities.

Obviously this is there trade of versus the overload they have up the pitch. The sheer quantity and quality of those players have caused us problems. (plus our own death wish!)

Not that I mind much on this occasion.

But has Howard Webb ever disagreed with the ref when they go to him? Is there a point to him being there. really? Just money for old rope

Yep. Hugo is the captain and the player with the ball, really poor from him. He should be telling our players to push up and THEN kick it long.

Wobbly all across the defence, how they aren't leading I don't know, but we have to change things second half; we can't just keep inviting them to steal the ball around our 18-yard box. Some of them look drugged as well, so slow to everything.
