*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur FC v Sheffield United ***

I'd be worried about the professionalism/mind set of a PL manager if he is that affected that badly by a section of our fans, who have welcomed him and backed him way beyond what we've seen in years given some of the football and results we've seen.

His motivation should be to make sure next season we are in a better position.

I've never met an Aussie who is happy with losing, it's not in their nature.

Doubtless our fans have just made it that much harder for him. How is he to know he won't find himself in a similar position next season.

Knowing the fans have got your back has to be a big part of it.

The same fans who clapped his team off in the home game vs Chelsea, even when our naive/high-line tactics after being two men down led to a crushing defeat against a vastly mediocre London rival that could easily have been avoided?

5 goals and 9 assists (don't know if that includes today?) for Johnson.

I think only Son and Richalison have more goal involvement than him this season.

He does need to improve, but his stats aren't bad
Yeah, I find it really strange the amount of criticism Johnson has got this season. I think he has been excellent coming into a new team and having a very positive impact. He can go both inside and outside, is two footed, has decent delivery and I love the positions that he consistently gets himself into at the far post.

Easy target IMO
big ish fee and not a glamorous name
If he was Brenaldo he wouldn’t be targeted as much and of course if he was half the price
But his return has been every good for his first season playing with a top side

My thoughts as well i think he has been fine, still only 22 and will get better.

Is there ANY manager happy with losing??

Surely that's in the nature of any professional sportsman or manager.
It's how they react to when it inevitably happens and how they use the resources at their disposal (money, coaching etc) to limit the number of times it happens that sets apart the very best ones

Indeed, does Ange blame a lack of support from Celtic fans and staff for the fact that he failed to go unbeaten there last season or does it mean Brendan Rodgers has a stronger winning mentality which is why he managed to go an entire domestic campaign without losing any games on his way to winning a 2nd consecutive treble?!

Celtic lost 3 games in the league this season didn't they?

Very hard to argue with someone that doesn't live in this reality.

The players and manager clearly believed they could beat City and gave it a good go. Unfortunately, they came up short because City are a much better team.
Agree. I have no problem with the team or the performance against City. No doubt Ange had demanded they to go all out for the win. It was heartening to see they gave it their all in spite of what must have felt like mixed messages from too many of our so-called 'supporters.'

Yeah, they finished wish a record of W:29 D:6 L:3 this season which is the same as Ange’s first campaign at Celtic.

Rangers won the league cup and the fa cup final hasn't been played yet.

Show how dominant Celtic have been this past decade that even doing the double would be a disappointing season for them after winning the domestic treble 5 times in 8 years.
