*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur FC v Sheffield United ***

Personally I am embarrassed that so many fans wanted us to lose to City just so they could indulge in schadenfreude at Arsenal's failure. Especially so as it turns out they would still have failed had we beaten City.

I cannot imagine how furious Ange must be feeling. I just hope he's not so tinkled off he has lost interest and motivation, but I would not blame him if he has. Quite frankly it feels to me like the fans have betrayed him.

I'd be worried about the professionalism/mind set of a PL manager if he is that affected that badly by a section of our fans, who have welcomed him and backed him way beyond what we've seen in years given some of the football and results we've seen.

His motivation should be to make sure next season we are in a better position.

Doubtless our fans have just made it that much harder for him. How is he to know he won't find himself in a similar position next season.

Knowing the fans have got your back has to be a big part of it.

I'm drunk, but did Donley get pulled from the U21s last minute victory over Cheatski in the semis... and not make it on the pitch?

Nothing is guaranteed until it is - that's the actual nature of sport.
Whichever way you cut it, or however you justify it, you prefer us to lose so they lose. That's not support.

Thanks for the lecture. Must feel great to question the support of other fans who have supported the club for decades, spending tens of thousands of pounds schlepping up and down motorways going home and away, getting home at 4am after going to such lovely places like Burnley on a midweek in January.

Not sure if he was pulled last min, but yes.

Devine started for the academy instead of him. Would rather have seen Donley get game time today then giving players a last run out.

I’m guessing we will be talking about this all summer and into next season. We didn’t miss out on the top 4 because of one game.
That's beside the point. Ange has made it crystal clear he is a winner, he wants to win things above all else. The idea that the fans wold prefer to see his team lose whatever the circumstances is surely anathema to him. Imo we have let him down badly.

The fans have clearly got his back, much more would have been made of the awful run other wise.

This narrative we gave up top 4 to stop Arsenal is utter nonsense.

Those driving it still are the issue.

Lol, are people really saying we would have got 4th if we had beat City? You don't suppose Villa would have tried a bit harder today if they had to? All that today has shown, is arsenal would have been champions.
Yes and yes. What’s “Lol” about it? Do you think Villa would’ve got a point off Palace today if they needed to?

If so it was a funny way of showing it. I think you are kidding yourself.

No wonder other fans sneer and call us S P U R S Y.

Utter nonsense.

We've been battered left and right since March and there hasn't been more than the odd fan or two call for his head

Worse run of defeats in PL
Worst run of first half goals for

And still no real call for him to go....but he's not been supported or backed by the fans?

Remember we beat Villa 4-0 at their gig.
Palace had won five and drawn one of their last six going into the game against Villa.
Sheffield United have shipped five goals or more seven times this season, including an 8-0 thrashing by Saudi Sportswashing Machine at their ground. Even Burnley put a total of 9 past them in their two games.
Prior to what you hoped would be the title decider in their favour against us City had lost every previous League visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

All of the above suggests it was far from a given that we would miss out on CL football next season. You just HAVE to go into every game believing you can win. Much stranger things have happened and often do.

Never give up. That way lies failure.

The players and manager clearly believed they could beat City and gave it a good go. Unfortunately, they came up short because City are a much better team.

And some poor finishing
If the crowd really affected the players why wasn’t that happening at city today where there was no atmosphere I wonder

End of season. Improvement over last season. A lot of room for improvement especially attacking and central midfield. Over to the crazy rumour filled summer.
Lack.of quality depth is certainly a huge issue if we want to compete in Europe subsequent seasons.

Defending set pieces and efficiency of attacking needs to be improved.

I wonder if the number of injuries and the way our players come back suboptimal can be improved
