Season two of GOT tended to wander from one character to the next and the whole thing was a mess. Tried to cram too much into each episode. Ten one hour episodes, was never going to be enough to satisfy the narratives demands of this series.

It was only in the last episode we got to see some real character development. How hard could it be to make a few more episodes once they've all the actors and crew in place? You would only have to pad out some scenes and stretch it out more, would give people time to realise what character they're watching before focus jumps again.

really? You saw Robb and Tyrion grow as leaders, Theon's journey had plenty of development, Jon Snow has had to grow up very quickly, Cersei has started to show some(ish) sympathetic character, Sansa is another who has had to grow, Joffrey has become even more evil, and the 3 episode or so arc of Arya and Tywin has really developed their characters.
Add in a few droplets of the Tyrells and the story of Stannis and Davos, and I think their has been massive amounts of character development.

Possibly Bran's story hasn't shown too much character development, but has had massive story development. The only person I agree that the character development didn't happen until the last was Daenerys, but even in A Clash Of Kings, her story is dry until the house of the undying and the part after, which they haven't shown this season.

I agree though would have like a couple more episodes, but the budget is what it is, and with some massive events to come, they can't over spend now and risk cancellation

Just finished the final episode of Suits, best legal drama I have seen on tv for several years. Can't wait for season 2. You always knew his secret was gonna be let out of the bag eventually.

As much as I like Mike I think Harvey is just brilliant. And as for Rachel, she is sizzling hot

As for Donna, she is simply the best secretary ever

I'm hoping E4 show Franklin and Bash pretty quickly, I don't really want to d/l if I can avoid it. Same for Suits

Naija - I think Suits is awesome. Harvey is just one cool mother fudgers and his suits are great but then again if youre charging 1k an hour im sure you can afford anything you like. It is superb though.

Franklin n Bash is something similar to suits but more comedy and more childish but I love that brick.

I think both are awesome. linnet im sure E4 will show it but after a couple of months.

They really are cracking shows, probably my 2 favourite new shows of the year (that survived their first season anyway)

There were just so many characters having epiphanies at the same time. Everything up until the last episode has felt so rushed, but the scenes with Arya and Tywin have been good though.

I actually found that link above about the changes they've made quite helpful too. Answered a couple things I was wondering and it makes sense that they would change a few things to give all the major characters time on the screen.

I notice there is a lot of talk about Game of Thrones in this thread. Although I have every episode (both series 1 & 2) stored in my Sky HD box (along with Homeland) for some reason I do not have the urge to watch either show at the moment. I am sure I will get round to it eventually

DHSF, I agree Harvey is one smooth cool "mother". Another thing I love about the show is the character of Lewis. He is an irritating, untrustworthy slimy scheming sonofabitch with a face that you just want to slap but that is only because Rick Hoffman plays the character so well.

it's fudging brick...*runs for cover*

I think you really need to feel the force of my **** down your throat to shut you up.

It is not brick. It is lighthearted and pretty funny. It wont win Baftas or Oscars or whatever theyre called but it is good lighthearted entertainment.

Now back to my suggestion...?

i watch any brick, so long as it's scripted..O:) if you like F&B, you may also enjoy debutant Common Law. i presume you already watch Suits which is also ok. and in addition, may i recommend Terriers that ran for only one season but was very good and The Finder, similarly lighthearted entertainment.

i have a small mouth and shallow throat so shoving things down it whilst possibly pleasurable may not be such a good idea. i thank you nonetheless.

Small mouth n shallow throat is my favorite combination... Lucky me.

Suits is brilliant and is better than F n B which is sayin quite a bit.

I will take a shot at Common Law as it could be my kind of thing.

Anyone seen the Good Wife? That's a brilliant show too.

i do enjoy The Good Wife but the massive drop in ratings probably means it will only have one more season. again, if you want lighthearted entertainment and slightly less lighthearted entertainment, i highly recommend The Finder and Terriers.

The Finder? you just slipped that in huh?

You are annoying me with the Terriers so im gonna watch it just to shut your small mouth up.

Better be good.

Good Wife will only have one season left I think which is a shame. It seems that American shows have very short life spans. Apart from maybe Friends and HIMYM and maybe one or two others the rest only last three or four seasons which is a bit of a shame.

HIMYM has been consistently crap for some time and i only watch it for Robin. and it's about fudging time we meet the "mother".
