Not strictly classical but Erik Satie was a fabulous piano composer, Gnossiene #1 is one of my favourite pieces.

Got out of work to find out about the Stone Roses gig in Warrington. Now I know full well that you lot down south won't be too bothered by the gig, but Warrington was do-able for me. If only I'd known

Hope they play a new tune, and a good youtube of it sees the light of day

The only time I've seen the Monkey Man live was at Glasto in about 99. He was on stage for one song and walked off after flipping the bird because he got heckled by one person. I wouldn't mind but the **** can't sing anyway. Clone Roses... exactly the same but with a front man that can sing and isn't a **** end.

Never knew, clearly 'lifted' like 'come as you are' was.

Agree, saw Brown at V or Pheonix (can't recall) and me and my mate turned to each other after one song and said 'let's go he's brick'.

Seriously?! They're really not very alike at all.

Really looking forward to the new Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros album coming out next week.

Just got tickets to see them in Manchester Cathedral in July, which is a right trek but was the only UK non-festival gig they are currently doing.

Going to see Pearl Jam for the 6th time also in Manchester in June, they are always excellent live though so well worth the trip.
