I'm just curious, never seen him play in my life. Are you saying he's not much better than the Sig thats been at Spurs this year, or the Sig that was at Swansea etc?

I think Sigurdsson is a great player and as he gets used to us and the system he seems to be getting better every game. I think if we're looking to buy Holtby to play off the striker, Sigurdsson is better in that respect, of course having Holtby for how cheap we're getting him for is just superb depth.
I think playing Holtby in a deeper role, allowing him to come forward with the ball and use his passing ability would be much better for him and I'd rather have him do that than Sigurdsson when it comes to comparing.

Does it matter? Both are young players and have potential to grow in various ways. Both were relatively inexpensive and likely to be sold at break even or better. One or both could be stars.
The argument against Holtby is that it probably means we won't be going for an established player like Moutinho, but I suspect he has moved out of our budget.
