The notable point in this article is how he bigs up Scolari at the end, saying he'll be perfect for Chelsea. Levy would have more patience than Abramovic, but I can see the Bilic scenario being similar. I'm sure he'd start off well enough, getting the players motivated, playing good football, trying some new tactical ideas. But I'd worry about how well he'd do over the course of the season, to have to deal with fatigue and squad rotation, to have to lift the dressing room after a poor run of form instead of letting his players go back to their clubs, to have to deal with people in the media who don't think the sun shines out of his arse and angry fans after a bad defeat.
It's a big gamble. There's every reason to believe he will be a top club manager one day, but he has a lot to learn still and I'd worry about his ability to hit the ground running, which is what we're going to need next season, since Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal (unless they sell RVP) will not be as bad next season as they have been this time around.

Quite amusing how last week Rodgers was suggested as a potential candidate, a man who has managed 3 clubs, worked with big egos at Chelsea, taken an small and unfancied team to the premiership and has them comfortably midtable while playing a very attractive style of play, and there were hoardes of people vehemently against the idea. With a whole range of concerns from the frankly macaronic to the fair, but there was real venom in their opposition.
And this week a man gets suggetsed who has never managed a single club, ever, and who hasnt especially impressed over the last couple of years at Intl level (after a VERY bright start). Who is an ex West Ham man to boot - and yet not only are some considering it - those that oppose can hardly be bothered to stir interest!
Its a ludicrus idea, and doesnt even compare to the suggestion of Rodgers. A suggestion which represents a real "punt" to begin with.

Moyes! Good lord I wouldn't want his brand of football anywhere near Spurs. He may do well with what he's got, but he is NEVER a Spurs manager.
If we're going to consider Klinsmann then I'd want to see Joachim Low in there as well (and tap him up for some German youth coaches whilst we're at it). Rodgers has been absolutely fudging slated on here, which I find mystifying. He might lack experience, but as an up and coming coach he surely has to look one of the most attractive?
Basically, what most people seem to be saying is that they want a proven manager at Spurs. But I'm not so sure, a lot of the old guard are getting pretty long in the tooth, maybe it's time to take a wee gamble.
Not saying that Moyes would fill me with excitement, but I'd rather take the gamble that he might start playing a style that's better suited to Spurs if he became our manager, than the gamble that Bilic might flop at club level.

Allardyce hits back at doubters
Under-pressure West Ham manager Sam Allardyce has pulled no punches in telling his critics to shut up.
The former Bolton, Saudi Sportswashing Machine and Blackburn boss' position has come under scrutiny after dropping out of the Championship's automatic promotion places following a run of one win in seven matches.
But Allardyce last week accused his doubters of being deluded and now he has told those questioning his tactics they are 'talking b******s'.
West Ham vice-chairman Karren Brady has assured the club's manager his job is safe, however, he does appear to be feeling the pressure.
He said ahead of Friday's game at Barnsley: "Negativity around here has been very much in the forefront recently, which has been rather strange for me, because we have lost one in 12.
"You get opinions about our results like, 'James Tomkins shouldn't be playing in midfield because he is a centre-half'.
"You get all that b******s that goes around. What happens is I look at the performance of every player and say to everyone who says that, 'You're talking b******s'.
"He played in that holding role for three games with 10 men, so that is how short memories people have. That is how much b******s is talked about in football.
"I don't listen to that drivel, because what bothers me is that James Tomkins plays well."
Allardyce is also not 100 per cent convinced regarding his employment security, despite the vote of confidence from Brady.
He said: "You never know when your job is on the line. You can never guess."
