Desperately hitching skirt for a highly paid/publicised job

fudge all club management experience. Got a few decent results with an extremely talented squad and has been living off those England wins for a good 5 years now. Didn't even make the WC.

Not to mention that earing

I rather have Brendan (Mourinho once complimented me) Rogers

rather Rodgers than Andre (Mourinho's errand boy biatch) Villas Boas

"please Jose, please dont ignore me, please forgive me. Im sorry oh so special one, next time i wont forget to put sugar in your tea"

He's not managed a club, right?
Appointing someone who's never done a similar job to a club the size of Spurs would be lunacy (IMO).

Quite a good point to consider. Club football and International is quite a different kettle of fish

Agreed. Although I would place a very large chunk of blame on the players as well, just look at the difference between Capello at club level and international level. Doing well in one doesn't mean you're bound to do well in the other.

I think indianspur is right though, seems like too much of a risky move for Levy to go for it.

We've lost awful lot of scouts when Comolli left and the same will happen with Harry (although there's no need for scouts at the England job).
Bilic can't fill this gap (unless we sign the whole Croatian team).

I wondered about Bilić myself before Redknapp took over. I'm quite surprised he hasn't tried his hand at club management yet; might be a good shout for the West Ham job if they manage to get back in the Prem and all the spammers start moaning about Fat Sam's awful football.

I geniunely do not think Levy would take a risk on ANYONE who has not proven himself in the Premiership i.e. any foreign Managers bar Hiddink and Mourinho.

I think Bilic would be a good shout. He has played in the Premiership knows what its all about doesnt look like the type to beat about the bush and would put players in their place. HOWEVER; can we please not think about all this until Harry decides to pack it in (which he hasnt yet)

I'd certainly want the DoF system back in place before appointing someone like Bilic (experience wise).

Would be happy with Billic, have considered him a dark horse for the contender for the job.

At the very least the press conferences would be interesting.

You and me both

if he'd be happy to do a Jol and be Asst first, then he's worth bringing in to the set up if Harry leaves and the new man can work with him

We could end up in a situation where we bring in Bilic, and Modric still leaves. I presume the main reason for people wanting Bilic is so that we can hang on to Modric?

You know what? I really like him. My favourite for the job if Harry leaves, he's young and has something to prove (making it at club level), ofcourse it's a gamble but so is Rodgers, at least with him he's more well known around the continent and we'll be able to atract better players (and keep Modric, but not just that)

I really hope we get Billic so Modric doesnt leave. There is no way that Levy will tell anyone else No, he is not for sale.

No I dont think he's a right fit in all honesty. I would like to think we could attract some of the best managers in the game at this moment. Bilic is a risk.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, please for Heaven's sake not Bilic, have we become West Ham suddenly.

We should be looking at top managers not someone with no club experience.
