Next Manager?

No, that's why *you* renewed your ST. Just like your rant last month about how you don't like being labelled by the club as a 'legacy fan' despite the fact that this is exactly what they did, you speak for yourself mate.

As you can see from the folks on TFC and r/coys who have explicitly renewed their tickets and now have buyers' remorse over this, you don't speak for them. They expected change, ambition, something different.

Likewise, mate - I expect nothing from you but blind worship of Levy. I accept it, and think no less of you for it. Just sad that those spivs get away with conning good folk like they do.
They are getting change
They will see the team next season with a different manager that started last season
It’s just not going to be conte

Isn't this the conte handgrinade for levy his advocates were wanting anyway?

Just like we got mourinho's 3rd season under way in his first season, we've got the conte fireworks months early too

Yep
And you know what the options are
Find new owners (not gonna happen)
Suck it up and go with it
Or don’t
We as fans cannot change owners
We as fans can’t even organise a protest against the owners

So it is what it is
Enjoy the ride

That's where we disagree. Enough people see these worthless spivs for what they are, we can change that mate.

Takes time, but far more folks realize how much these owners hold us back now.

And until the tipping point is reached, at the very least, you don't need to resign yourself to it. This is your club - not theirs.

And things may well improve with or without conte
We just need a coach that invests in the club as much as himself
That’s what a Poch did
They may, I find it very unlikely under ENIC, they failed Poch as well ultimately
As I said in my opinion ENIC killed hope. We will continue to charge the highest ticket prices in Europe, continue to have a very highly renimerated chairman and we will continue to have a very empty looking trophy cabinet and ultimately our best players will want to leave, it started with Sheringham under Sugar, through Campbell, Carrick, Berbatov, Keane, Bale, Modric,Walker and ultimately Harry. It would have included Lesley as well if it wasn’t for his injury issues

From posts I've seen on TFC, some posters held out until near the deadline before renewing. One decided not to, others renewed, not because they believed Conte was coming in, but because when push came to shove, they couldn't give up their ticket.

Conte looking for a club for instant success = psg.
Poch looking for a club to build something = spurs.
Still think we get ETH, and I will be perfectly happy with that.

Come on mate. If we appoint Tony Pulis, that will be change - will it be good change?

If we appoint Eddie Howe - that will be change. Will it be good change?

If we appoint Levy's son - that will be change. Will it be good change?

So nothing to do with the story about Conte coming then. So why suggest fans have been tricked into renewing?
I’m suggesting that it in my opinion it’s a distinct possibility that THFC( or our owners) leaked the Poch comeback and then the Conte stories as season ticket renewal loomed and as soon as it’s passed the talks are called off. As I also said I feel extremly disillusioned at our ambition under ENIC and I thought the appointment of Conte gave me genuine hope that perhaps they may be willing to invest.

do I have any evidence to back this up, no I don’t it’s my opinion based on what I have experienced supporting the club during ENIc’s reign.
Does it mean I need to see a doctor, to be perfectly honest I can genuinely say with 100% confidence that’s a definate No

I really used to enjoy our back and forth over Levy, but you really seem to have worsened your bile over the last few months, as for other forums that you mentioned you probably fit in well over there with all the other nutters who believe the Conte story was just to entice folks to renew their S/T.

More and more folks mate. More and more folks don't trust that snake oil salesman spiv we have in charge and his tax exile boss.

I'm aware other forums are less relentlessly pro-ENIC and pro-Levy than here. But I stay here because I'm damn fond of the folks here - and like I've mentioned to you before, we vehemently disagree on Levy and very little else.

I'll take that. Maybe one day you'll come around to my side on this.

You need to come to London
Meet the fans
And see there is a lot of talk and no substance

Levy can pay himself what he wants as unlike other chairman he is also an owner
And players will want to leave
Players will want to join
Conte wants to join. He just also wants buckets of cash and half the club binned
Poch wants to come back, so there must be a reason

I really do feel sorry for Mrs Conte in all of this
Their meant to be on holiday but the whole time he is having to haggle for his contract, share snippets with a Ricky Sacks and Fabrizio Romano..... and get a tan. Then he has to keep sky abreast of what’s going on and then change the story every couple of hours
My missus would cut my balls of for less

Yep, myself and a friend only renewed our season tickets at the last minute because ultimately we couldn’t face giving them up.

we did however hope that levy/Enic had finally learned from their mistakes and decided to back a quality manager in a big way, given levy’s rhetoric and rhe noise around conte or Poch coming back.
Sadly that all seems to be yet more bs.

poeple go on about how levy is a great chairman but he has made a lot of mistakes, what with failing to back successful managers, getting very lucky with botched managerial appointments, thinking he could run the stadium development without a principal contractor......etc.

all of our non spurs mates think we are mad to pay season ticket prices that work out at circa £80 per game. No one can believe how ridiculously expensive that is given our performance these past 20 years. The return on that ticket price simply isn’t justified in terms of investment in the team, trophies or adequacy of the way the club is run.

To be honest given the fiasco of this season I am now firmly of the opinion that levy needs to go, and we need better ownership than enic.

frankly it’s a fudging disgrace. I wouldn’t put it past the club to have encouraged these managerial rumours just to encourage season ticket holders to renew. The whole thing feels deeply deceptive. If they want to charge those kind of prices the club needs to be much better run from top to bottom.

Fair, but I did and I have mate. I think I posted about it last year - most recently came over for the limp loss to Chelsea, and I defo will again as soon as travel opens up and I can find a way to justify a work visit to Europe again.

It'll happen, I believe that. Enough time and enough of this crap, and folks will have had enough. Some folks feel the protests last month were small fry, I didn't - that sort of thing would be unheard of back when more folks believed in ENIC and their 'ambitions' a few years ago when Poch being brilliant hid the cracks single-handedly.

When the pandemic's properly away and we've had more of this sort of thing from Joe Lewis and his incompetent henchman, more people will realize the sorts of owners ENIC are, and the next protests will be bigger. At the very least, we can outdo the f*cking Gooners - they made a lot of noise and got a billionaire to bid for their club. We can defo do better, and Kroenke is no worse than Levy (and actually may be a good deal better).

He can pay himself what he wants but to be the highest paid chairman with one trophy on 20 years of ownership, from a footballing perspective is ill deserved IMO.
Yes players will want to leave but the reason they want to leave is ( again in my opinion) because they realise their professional ambitions will not be fulfilled at Spurs and it happens again and again. It’s not the same as a Ronaldo leaving United after winning countless leagues and a champions league, the manner of how out players depart leaves both them and the fans unfulfilled.
Conte doesn’t want to join it seems because he doesn’t believe the club can compete for top honours, yet we continue to charge high ticket prices.
Poch may well want to come back but he’s not coming back at the moment so the point is moot.
if he does great and maybe we can hope that he has been assured he won’t be as let down as he was two years ago by the owners.

Fair enough you seem to think that the owners are doing a good job and potentially can lead us to glory, I find that opinion bordering on the realms of impossibility given the experience of ENIC ownership on the pitch over the last twenty or so years

I’ll buy you a beer (or something else you like)
And we can chat F2F
And I’ll throw in that if you want a real fair barometer of Spurs fans spooky is your man

I haven’t said anything that you mention in your last paragraph
I’d like knew owners
But I don’t see anyone buying the club now as were massively over valued
And I don’t see ENIC ploughing money in that they simply don’t have. They will spend what we earn because they can
Beyond that the only way we can compete more is by having a manager and coach who will improve the side better than the some of its part. Conte has done that before. Poch did that here. There are others who can do just that and would bite the hand off for the chance, just like a Poch did when he joined.
