Ah I’m coming round to it and I don’t think it would be worst thing in the world. Knows and loves the club, ambitious, looks tactically astute - last weekend a good example of that by all accounts - and probably able to attract the sort of players we need (young, hungry championship or best of Tier 2 teams abroad). Learned from some of the best managers in the game over last five years too. Seems to have respect of the players and crucially Kane. Dropped his mate Dier last week so not afraid to make hard decisions. Certainly inexperienced but is he more of a gamble than someone like Slot who seems like the only other front runner?

Maybe Slot does still get the gig as he’s happy for Mason to be clear number 2 with a pathway to be his successor?

I understand that point of view, but all the names linked are gamble on some level.

I’m genuinely interested. Do you think there’s a sure thing candidate out there and if so who? If not, who is a considerably less calculated gamble than Mason?

Interesting if JN is out of the running for whatever reason. He wasnt my preferred candidate given the risk of him, like Conte, thinking the club was beneath him and him doing us a favour.

Assuming its not going to be Poch, and Enrique is out of the running too, it cranks the pressure up on Levy a little more as we'll likely be appointing an inexperience manager.

That might well be the right thing to do...the pressure comes from picking someone who succeeds rahter than a Lampard, Gross etc
 
Blatantly turned us down and Cullen is doing her (laughable) attempt at spinning it.

Will be Slot but I fear his ultra attacking style is going to get found out quickly especially with our ultra brick defence and likely difficulties we will have finding quality additions at the back with our recruitment setup and limited funds.

Reckon he’ll be sacked by xmas.
 
Slot seems gettable and there were comments a few weeks back suggesting he'd be open to it

I'd still have gone for Poch but Levy's call and just hope he get it right

More important though is that we have a good transfer window

You know there is something in the World called PR and there are firms and people (many of them) who specialise in that field.

Its actually KGB level brick to think that doesn’t happen!
