Manager Sack Watch

...and then promptly dropped the keeper that Neville had criticised

He dropped him because (1) he was not playing well (2) and a young keeper can be affected by what Klopp considered over the top criticism from someone who ( so far) has failed when he stepped from the i know everything couch of a pundit into the real world of management.

I might be misremembering but did Nevilles tenure at Valencia not see them improve greatly at the back whilst the issues were scoring goals?

is the criticism of a pundit who's never managed (carragher for example, who also crucified Karius yet received no response from klopp) more valid than one who has?

On 30 March 2016, Neville was sacked by the club. At the time of his sacking, only six points clear of the relegation zone, and had won only three of their 16 league games under Neville, also failing to keep a single clean sheet.

That does not look like he improved them much at the back, as for Carragher when and if he ever goes into management we can then compere until then its pointless.

my question was, is the view of a pundit with no managerial experience more valid than one with a bad experience?

All this crap about the making sure people were suitable to run a football team before they are allowed to buy one is crap. It appears any bunch of millionaries can come along a buy up a club and employ any muppet to manage it. The fans can go and fudge themselves. These people can only see $$$$$$ signs and have no idea what relegation can do to a club. I feel sorry for Bradley he should never have been given the job, I wonder which unknown manager they have in mind now or could it be an other short term job for the obnoxious Mr Pardew?

I think either Rednapp or Pardew would get Swansea out of trouble. Giggs would be more interesting.

I think it may be too late already. They could pick one of the usual suspects but as you say giggs is a more interesting choice. They should take a chance and back him even if they go down.

Isn't there too much "bad blood" after the earlier situation where Swansea reportedly said he gave "an underwhelming interview" and him saying they did not match his ambition. Would take both sides to make big stepdowns.

Harry might do ok with Hull, all the ex Spurs boys they have. Long drive from the south coast though, Kevin Bond will be on the road more than a long-haul trucker.
