It maybe depend on what he does during the world cup, he is going to be the spearhead in a very offensive minded Belgium team that could make him look very good during the world cup. If that happens the demand will be immense. But I could well see him stay at Everton to learn under an excellent young manager. Why should he be anxious to sign for Spurs, a club that lacks managerial stability?
he's been there a couple of years now, he might be able to use the Webster rule if he wants to leave
My I ask what is that rule, I have not heard it?
People would be on his back within 2 games. Guaranteed. I can hear the world famous white hart lane sighs already
Sheez he was terrible today, just standing around. No ambition, no drive, no clue what to do, no intelligence, rightly subbed off
The Webster ruling is a test case in association football law involving Andy Webster, a defender formerly with Heart of Midlothian football club in Edinburgh, Scotland. In September 2006 he became the first player to exploit the updated transfer regulations of FIFA, football's governing body, which stipulated that players are able to unilaterally walk away from a contract after a fixed period, regardless of the duration of the contract itself. Although the long-term effects of the decision remain unclear, it has been compared to the landmark Bosman ruling of 1995 in its potential significance

I think that there was feeling that the clubs would just between them whoever puts that ruling into action will not play top flight football again. No top club would sign them. End of Webster ruling, clubs taking back power.
A poor World Cup might make him gettable...
