Lawro the Twunt says... 2018/19

You’re obviously not reading and watching enough media. We have to win a trophy or all our players and manager will leave. Get with the programme.
Yes, but they expect us to win one, whilst criticising us if we play a strong team and also saying we should go out so we can rest players

He's only saying that to cover klopps arse as he 'sacrifices' the lesser cups for the league or CL. Klopp can't possibly be bottling it.

TWUNT predicts a draw, i mean come on we never draw

Tottenham v Saudi Sportswashing Machine (12:30 GMT)

Saudi Sportswashing Machine got an excellent win against Emirates Marketing Project on Tuesday, but it did leave me looking at the Magpies players and wondering where that type of performance has been all season?

That is the one thing I always wonder about teams that pull out results like that against the top sides.

I know City didn't play well but it is a little bit bizarre when you compare Saudi Sportswashing Machine's display to some of their other home games this season.

Tottenham, meanwhile, left it late to come back and beat Watford but it was one of their best results for a while when you consider the players they had missing.

I think Spurs will find it tough going again on Saturday.

That win over City was such a good one for Saudi Sportswashing Machine that it would not surprise me if they did something similar at Wembley, sitting in to nick a point.

Last season, when the Magpies got a very good result they followed it up by stringing a little run together and I can see something similar happening here.

Lawro's prediction: 1-1

Tottenham v Leicester (13:30 GMT)

Leicester created enough chances to get something out of their game with Manchester United, but the point they got against Liverpool last week is the only thing they have to show from their past five games in all competitions.

In contrast, Tottenham just keep on finding a way to win games despite obviously still being without some of their key players.

When you look into why or how they have done it, it all leads back to Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino. I think he will collect another three points here.

Lawro's prediction: 2-1

Not sure where to post this but I just realised that we can't finish bottom now. Or 19th.

Not sure why that's important, but I'm sure that Sky will report it like the do everything else on this forum in due course.

He pretty much called it. Twunt.

Burnley v Tottenham (12:30 GMT)

It is great news for Tottenham that Harry Kane is back in training, although I would be surprised if he is thrown straight back in for this game.

Spurs are on a good run, and have shown they do not rely on the England striker, but I see this trip as a very tough test for them.

I have been very impressed with Burnley in recent weeks. They are unbeaten in the league since Boxing Day, and their performances have been as good as their results.

A big improvement in the Clarets' defence has played a big part in that and I don't think they will give much away on Saturday either.

Lawro's prediction: 1-1

10) Mike Dean bringing up his century
Having let everyone down by refusing to notch up his century of red cards in the marquee game between Emirates Marketing Project and Chelsea, Mike Dean remains on 99 not out and will surely be unable to resist a bravura flourish, before waving his card in appreciation to all four corners of the ground. Turf Moor on Saturday lunchtime is his next port of call – the footballers of Tottenham Hotspur and Burnley should consider themselves warned.

Can see a 'rush of blood' red card for Lloris causing the Twunt to get his 1-1 draw.

You meant alcohol when you wrote blood, right? Hugo runs on alcohol.

Lawro is clearly saving here, Spurs will not catch Liverpool up.

I actually think we will at some point during the run in.

He fudging called it again. Twunt.

Chelsea v Tottenham (20:00 GMT)

I thought Chelsea played well in the Carabao Cup final, but what happened with Kepa Arrizabalaga obviously overshadowed any improvement in their performance.

Maurizio Sarri needs to sort out Kepa but a telling off and a fine is all it will take.

The problem with what happened is that it gives the impression that the manager is not in control and, on the back of the results he has had, it makes a bad situation even worse.

But it is done and now they both just need to move on. If they do, then as the number one Kepa should be in goal for this game and he will have the chance to redeem himself on the pitch.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino also had a frustrating weekend.

He was in the news for his reaction after Saturday's defeat by Burnley.

I had predicted a draw, knowing that Harry Kane was coming back. Part of my thinking was that, when a team's best player is out, you get a little bit extra from all the other players. When he returns, they relax a tiny bit.

It is going to take time for Kane to get back to his best but Spurs are on a tough run. They have got the north London derby against Arsenal coming up at the weekend too.

Lawro's prediction: 1-1

Tottenham v Arsenal (12:30 GMT)

Tottenham have lost their past two games and, like I said before their defeat at Burnley last weekend, Harry Kane's return from injury might have affected the mindset of one or two of their players.

When a big player like that comes back, there is a tendency for everyone else to think: 'We are going to be fine now.' It is a strange dynamic, and it can affect performances and results.

The shock was to see them lose at Burnley, not their defeat at Chelsea on Wednesday, but I never thought Spurs were in the title race anyway, and they are certainly not in it now.

I don't see Spurs dropping out of the top four, though, because I think their results will pick up. Dele Alli will be fit again soon too and it will not take long for Kane to get his match sharpness back.

It is going to be a great battle for fourth spot between Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea and I don't think it will be settled until the very end of the season.

The Gunners come in to this game on the back of a couple of convincing home wins over Southampton and Bournemouth but they are always pretty strong at Emirates Stadium anyway.

On the road, it is a different story and, taking that and and Spurs' form into consideration, I think a draw is the most likely outcome - especially because this is a lunchtime game and they are usually pretty rubbish.

Lawro's prediction: 1-1
