Allt hose guys who say that Harry isnt positive are just deluded. HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU GUYS SLAGGED HIM OFF FOR ACTUALLY BEING TOO POSITIVE? 442 right a bell? play with so many attacking players against the "big" boys? Harry isnt cautious and is certainly not defensive.

Mate, you're wasting your time. Any possible stick to beat him with now as far as many are concerned. We win 1-0? Not good enough we should be winning by bigger margins. We win 3-1? Not good enough, we didn't keep a clean sheet etc etc. There is nothing that can be done.

90+7 The clock ticks and VIlla have a throw. Referee Lee Probert finally blows his whistle for full-time.

90+6 YELLOW CARD: Chris Herd is caught by Sandro and the midfielder is booked.

90+5 Villa have the ball in the Tottenham half and Stephen Ireland dives in to make a challenge

I was at the game and got my phone out to check the time at 90 mins

It was a smidge over 6 minutes

Gallas had a great chance to score at the end and was playing as a striker

Losing battle. The thing is they have a right to slag off Harry - I have no problem with that - each to their own. But remain consistent at the very least and dont use titles like "why did Harry settle for a draw" as if it is gospel when it clearly isnt the truth - as evidenced by the fact that we were camped in their half for the entire second half not to mention most of the first half.

It depends on the situation though. Against a team protecting a lead playing defensively and gifting us possession you'd think throwing on a creative player would be the obvious solution. Against a team were we can't get hold of the ball then Scott Parker would be the solution.
I believe if he had an attacking player harry trusted on the bench he would have thrown him on. But he doesn't fancy Saha anymore and never had any faith in GDS (yet he's still here).

any prem team can cause an "upset" irrespective of their league position, or your rather childish opinion of their value as opposition

are you able to offer a reply without throwing in a personal insult?

so whats the crack now, you cannot question anything Harry does in a game for fear of being shouted down as having an irrational hatred of him ?

we should not bother questioning anything because it was no doubt the right thing to do and any other manager would have done exactly the same thing ?

the only thing which should be posted is that we are in full support of everyone at the club and they always do the right things/play to their best and never make mistakes ?

you are wrong to have an opinion that opposes any of those who shout the loudest at you for not subscribing to their way of thought ?

it's ok to be hyper critical of certain players = Ekotto/Kaboul/VdV etc but dare not criticize some aspects of club legends such as Peter Crouch, Scott Parker and Brad Friedel

you can't make abusive posts towards people who are in the pro camp but it's ok to out of hand insult anyone and everyone who holds the opposite opinion

Anyone can question anything but to suggest that Harry settled for a draw is absurd. I mean there is absolutely no foundation to it. How can you suggest that when we continued to play and dominate (even after scoring to make it 1-1). Harry didnt shut up shop.

Its the absurdity of the comments that makes it is so ludicrous. My opinion ofcourse.

i think it's more the absolute conviction with which opinions are given as facts that gets to a few - certainly me.

He's right though. Time after time he's thrown on Defoe and switched to a 4-4-2 which has resulted in us losing shape and not creating fudge all. Yesterday i'm guessing that he learnt his lesson and tried something different.

I can't believe the posters that are moaning about Defoe not coming on are simply ignoring all the times Arry did exactly that. Those same posters are the ones bitching that Arry does the same thing again and again and never changes things.

i know - that was a laugh of agreement. like a welcome stranger on the horizon.

im not suggesting he settled for a point btw, but i certainly think he should have done something earlier - i think there's an argument to be made that he didn't know what to do so opted to do nothing.

for all our possession and corners we weren't really creating any clear cut chances - everyone could see the way the game was panning out - it needed something to change, something from the manager. he was about to chuck on Defoe for (most likely) VdV but we got the penalty and he decided to leave Defoe off the pitch - he then sent someone else (i forget who) to warm up, 10/15 minutes later still no substitution - that to me suggests he didn't know what to do and was hoping something would come out of the blue (another penalty or a piece of individual magic)

the commentator on the stream i was watching was equally baffled by his lack of decisiveness

Come on we were down to 10 men and Villa were bricking bricks so much that they couldn't muster one attack in that 2nd half.

Criticism is fine, as are suggestions of another way of doing it. But we see repeated personal insults and belittling of him as though other decsisions were no-brainers that only macaron Redknapp could have missed. From this thread (names removed):

Shocking stuff, just seamed to give up on 3rd spot.

Disgraceful coaching from Harry. fudging idiot.

Because he is that sort of manager/coach he has no real tactics he just likes to mix things up and hope something comes off.

Just got found out for what he is.

Drop this fudging clown and quick levy, he did it to jol for less in my opinon.

We are a fudging laughing stock!

Worst tactics ever if he wanted a win. Maybe he gets his big bonus if we finish fourth and is happy with that ;)

maybe cos he cheated on alex or something, or because rednkapp is a fudgetard

VDV off Parker on.. when 1-1 looking for a win.. Criminal.

Im disgusted with Harry. I actually feel sick in the pit of my stomach. Nice one Harry. Watch us finish 4th and Chelsea win the CL.

Read that as well. The guy is a cretin

This! Harry is the man whose tactical acumen consists of " go on and run around a bit"

That's why we will always be that 'nearly' team. We have management in place that are happy with not winning.

Would any decent manager with a winning attitude. Answer - NO.

fair point Chancer - think people would be better off tackling those comments head on (if they wish to) rather than using them as something to bash everyone who holds a differing opinion to them with

I've come to the conclusion that our fans are amongst the thickest in England sadly.

Listen i've stated that i honestly feel Arry thinks about Arry way more then he does Tottenham hotspur football club and i blame him for our collapse and results since the Gooner game but are people honestly trying to tell me they think he's a defensive coach? :ross::ross::ross:

The reason for our collapse was that we were too offensive if anything. He'd play 4-4-2 in games where he shouldn't have, he'd stick niko fudging Kranjcar on the right as well as the 4-4-2, he'd panic when we haven't broken a team down playing 4-4-1-1 and throw on defoe which resulted in us messing up even more. Now he's getting abuse for noticing the 'throwing on Defoe' tactic rarely if works and tried something different....AND WE HAD 10 MEN....10 MEN...10 VS 11..AWAY FROM HOME...10 VS 11.....TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 10 MEN VS ASTON VILLA 11 MEN.

Some bozo yesterday stated that "a draw is just as bad as a loss":ross: you couldn't make it up.
