Lots of possession yes but little skilful movement, no real chances created. Same as a lot of our games.

Villa are a team so bad that they were easily beatable with us just having 10 men. It realy could'nt have been easier. It was made for Defoe to pepper shots in for the last 20 minutes. We had a chance of glory and Harry blew it. If we get 3rd by some miracle then its by sheer luck. Harry should be sacked whatever. He simply cant take this team any further.

But in this case, people have assumed something that could easily be not true, and got irate about it. Getting angry based on guess work. Yes, that's idiotic.

It will be 2 or 3.
Switching to a 4-4-2 after a decent run of results is more than stupid (especially after Arrys post match comments after the Norwich game).
I dont particuarly like Harry however:
- his hands were tied by the fact that rose got himself sent off
- we lack options on the bench as our squad has minimal attacking variety (this though is partly Harry's fault)
- bringing on Defoe is only partially useful as he'll never create anything...and bringing him on for VdV means that you're taking off the club's best finisher
That said, Harry's 89th min sub of Praker for VdV was quite simply macaronic.
I do still think we have a decent chance for 3rd as I think Arsenal would win at WEst Brom maybe 3 or 4 times out of ten when they're missing Arteta, Walnut and Sagna. We just have to do our job

Almost all our games this season have been 442 or a variation of that system,including our last 4-5 matches ...

SHould definitely be option 2. THe worse thing you can do is move more and more players out of their natural positions. If we're missing a LB then play the next best LB which we have, which would be Gallas. We shouldnt be moving Bale and Modric from their best positions

But then you're doing the exact same thing with Gallas, and CB is one of the most important areas - the backbone of the team and we have been looking solid there with Gallas/Kaboul. I wouldn't want that changed against Fulham who will pose problems and I'm not sure I'd trust King I'm afraid.....

And who do we take off for Defoe with 20 to go? You can't take off Modric - everything goes through him. Take off vdV and half this board would be up in arms. Removing Lennon leaves the team unbalanced. Sandro was our main ball winner and back-tracker, so remove him and you aren't guaranteed possession, and he played the ball forward all day today.
Besides, your call for Defoe to come on with 20 to go is a different argument to the one others are making, which is that it should have been Defoe not Parker that came on...but that was on 89 minutes, not 70 minutes.
So we now have 2 different versions of the apparently obvious thing Harry should have done with Defoe, and neither of them fully explains what the team would look like after either change. There's a fundamental lack of clarity on what exactly the people complaining about today are saying.
