Harry Kane MBE

I would be interested to know how many of those goals and assists are playing up front and how many are from playing as one of the three behind the striker. For me he's far better behind the striker...

The fact with Kane whether he starts as a 10 or a 9 the important thing is that he gets in the 6 yard box as illustrated by his last 2 goals

I wouldn't drop any of them. Bring Kane off the bench to replace whoever isn't performing on the day. Drip feed him into the prem with sub appearances.

Has that actually worked this season? As we drip feed him we have continual to fall further down the table because we have an ineffective striker leading our attack

I think that the front four has looked good recently in both the league and the cups. We have struggled to score in the PL but we have just come out of a run of tough fixtures interrupted by internationals. It seems a bit strange to me to look to change formation just as it looks like the team are getting used to the coaches methods. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for Harry getting his chance in the Premier League but I do not think that we need to make panic changes.

Panic changes? What we are doing in the league is simply not working at the moment, just look at the table. Kane may not be an answer but he deserves a chance

You seem to ignore the fact that Kane is not an impact player. Correct me if I am wrong all his goals, although there might be one exception, have come in matches he has started. When he comes on as a sub he does not score goals the way Defoe might have done
Possibly. I would hope that he is high on confidence at the moment and he could have an impact on a game whether he starts or comes off the bench.

I would start Kane ahead of Chadli today but I think that we have looked good going forward recently and the understanding between the players is growing.

Kane has done well to score 8 goals so far in the Cup competition this season. But he has not been convincing in the league matches this season. I think, just like Lamela, Kane badly needs a goal in the league to improve his form.

Hard to convince when he doesn't start.
He's scored 3 goals in last 6 Premier League starts.
He just needs minutes on the pitch and he will score.

I agree, that's the most annoying thing about Ade. He's more concerned with dropping deep and being involved in the build up play making simple passes than getting in the box - he has all the attributes to cause real havoc in the box, when he's actually there he scores goals.

But Soldado has to start up front for me as he is always in the box and has the same intelligent link up play as Kane - arguably even better. That's why for me I'd like to see Soldado up top and Kane no.10 for a good few games and see what happens. It can't be any worse than what we've seen and I genuinely think those two would co one well, supplimented with the varying attributes from any 2 of eriksen, Lamella and Chadli...

Yeah but it seems by the time Kane comes on in the league Spurs always seem to be behind and confidence or not he has been unable to change the game.

Bottom line, what has Ade done THIS season to warrant starting ahead of Kane? We are really struggling when it comes to scoring goals because Ade who has been leading the line has failed to deliver.

9 starts, 2 goals and 1 assist - for a striker spearheading our attack that is a complete and utter disgrace. What makes i tworse is that unlike 2 seasons ago we do not have a Gareth Bale scoring 20+ goals a season

Kane may ultimately prove not to be the answer, but he has to be given a chance, he has earned it because we simply do not have a better option at the moment.

I don't think that Kane has impressed when he has led the line this season, so for me it is not a question of starting him instead of Ade or Soldado. The position he has impressed in this season is #10 and that is where I would give him his chance in the PL.

Still a youngster but plays like a man, a seasoned pro. Such an impressive guy.

He and Loris should be the first names on the team sheet

There is no excuse whatsoever for Porch to leave out a fit Kane in PL games. In form, can handle it, is prepared to carry the responsibilty.

@Squawka: Goals for Spurs this season (all comps): Harry Kane: 9 Roberto Soldado: 2 Emmanuel Adebayor: 2

Goodbye Ade, hello Kane !!!!

The lad is brilliant, has to start over Adebayor and Soldado

Such awesome determination to take that fk. Such passion for Spurs oozing from his veins in his Sky MotM interview.

Our Harry has a wonderfully refreshingly positive attitude, something we've been so lacking for so, so long.
