Spur of the moment
Frederic Kanoute
Prepare yourself to laugh out loud. According to the BBC Kane has 55% shooting accuracy this season, Sissoko 60%. I kid you not.This. It doesn't look fancy, but his finishing is so clinical when he's on form. A bit unfair on Sissoko, but compare his one on one chance with Kane's, and the manner in which they finished. It's not a coincidence Kane scored and Sissoko didn't. The latter simply doesn't have the conviction and calmness in front of goal that Kane has (and yes, I realise Kane has missed these chances too).
And not only that, he's also a 10/10 for positioning, IMO. He is very good at anticipating where the ball will end up and how to move to create that little bit of space which in turn results in a scoring position.
I also think he's a damn good passer of the ball. His vision is outstanding; how many times have we seen him go deep to fetch the ball and unleash a brilliant pass forward? Highly underrated part of his game, IMO. While not a particularly fast player, he's also much faster than given credit for too.
I think he doesn't get enough credit for how good he is, because he doesn't drift past players like Messi or score spectacular goals like Ronaldo/Neyma - and because he's seemingly just an ordinary, hard working guy whose image is, well, quite boring and unspectacular. He's not the right type for the media age we live in, IMO, where quality in itself simply isn’t enough if you don't also have the slick, arrogant personality, fancy tattoos or lavish lifestyle that tabloids and social media live for.

So much for football stats eh?
