Harry Kane MBE

Here's hoping Harry enjoyed a little rest and recuperation - maybe fathered another child - during the int'l break. He deserved it.

But I'm sure he was missing the chance to pull on the England armband against two top nations. Hopefully, that only makes him hungrier to get stuck in against the Popguns. Nothing like a north London derby, as he likes to say.

Anyone else seen the match centre piece he's done with Henry?

The amount of thought Kane puts into his game is remarkable. I mean, he seems to see everything with just one look and his thought process with every look shows why he is the player he is.

I'm only half way through but it is fascinating, especially for someone who does not play football.
Henry is clearly very impressed.
Obviously Kane has a goalscorer's instinct, but his explanations of what he sees, the several "pictures" he has in his head at a given time, his thought process at each stage of a move, demonstrate that there is so much more to him and to his game.

A great educational interview as well.
(In fact I'm going to forward it to my nephew. He plays CB, but just in case he ever needs to know how to second-guess a world-class striker!).

Love the matter-of-fact way he deals with common assumptions about his supposed selfishness. He demonstrates clearly why it was not necessarily better to pass to a supposedly better-placed team mate or to go for an opening that may not in the event come off.

Phenomenal thought process. That's why he is a world class striker now.

llorente could do with some minutes too

And hopefully get his first goal in a Tottenham shirt... He’s such a very different style of forward to Kane that it’s going to take some time for his teammates to adapt, although he did create a good chance with his aerial prowess for Son today at least.

Replacing GKN in the squad with a wide-forward who can also play CF would be very helpful. GKN is a complete waste of a squad place, and overseas one at that. Rarely plays and is first and foremost a winger anyway, yet we dont play with wingers
