Harry Kane MBE

Isn't he almost 30 already? Must be at least halfway through his career already!
Well he's about 28 but I remember the old days when players generally didn't hit their peak till at least 26/27. Nowadays it seems to happen a lot earlier. Blaady youngsters, always in a hurry!

@OptaJoe: 9 - Harry Kane has scored nine goals in his last 11 Premier League appearances for Tottenham Hotspur. Confidence.

@HKane made 100th app for @SpursOfficial today. In PL, only Sheringham has scored more in 1st 100 apps for Spurs

I think I must of undervalued Chris Armstrong at the time. 42 in first 100 is good going, especially in the very average team we had then....

Total of 48 in 141 games for us according to Wiki, so he didn't keep it up. Wasn't he caught smoking weed or something at the time? Always thought he was underrated - a decent enough striker for us at the time.

He was massively under rated as he was Klinsmann's replacement and not considered 'glamorous enough' by a section of our support, even Teddy Sheringham moaned and complained when we signed him. IIRC injuries did for him in the end but he was never loved by the majority of our fanbase which I always thought was a terrible shame. In any event Harry can be better than him or Teddy and on a level with Jurgen if he works hard at his game.

Was always going to be difficult for Armstrong to fill such big boots, plus it didn't help his cause that we seemingly signed him in preference to Bergkamp because Sugar labelled the latter a "Carlos Kickabout" plus Francis thought he was a midfielder!

Hopefully Kane will keep on scoring when he wants and go on to join the Spurs all time greats like Lineker, Smith and Greaves.

Exactly what others have said... We love a glamorous name even if their brick.

Armstrong is a bit of a loon now and I believe he is a Rastafarian
