Harry Kane MBE

Raheem Sterling is a really bad advert for this generation of young footballer, coming across as a money grabbbing numpty and showing his club no respect - if you listen to the phone-ins they will have you believe he is an example as to why the modern day footballer has lost touch with reality and the "common man".

In response all I can say is thank goodness for Harry Kane. When you consider the amazing last 12 months our boy has had you realise that our lad is coming across as a very classy young man. The way he handles the press, the adoration, heck he is such a nice guy that even opposing fans were singing "he is one of our own" when he came on at Wembley.

Kane is a little bit older than Sterling, but I think maybe his work ethic is more telling in his off field attitude. From a lot of the reports out there, he wasn't the most gifted youngster and he's had to work hard at his game to get to the level he is at today. Sterling is probably a more naturally gifted footballer, he's had the spot light on him since he was 17-18, probably hasn't helped and has made it clear he will go wherever is best for him.

Sterling is not a Liverpool boy either, is he? Kane's Spurs supporting background, plus him coming through the ranks at the academy will make him more likely to try his luck at Spurs for a few years before possibly going for greater things at a better club. A bit difficult to compare the two, but I'm very happy it's Kane who plays for us and not Sterling.

And Sterling's played for Rodgers. Maybe that's the defining aspect behind his wantaway behaviour.

From the outside it really makes sense that there's been some sort of falling out. Otherwise Sterling being this desperate to leave Rodgers and Liverpool at this stage of his career at this age really makes little to no sense.

Very interesting IMO.

I cannot believe Oliver Holts piece in the DM this morning about the situation such as Sterling and loyalty. If this is what the media portray, this dog eat dog attitude how long before people do the same during the riots and start looting places again, people turning on his neighbour.. its all part of the same in as much as what is right and wrong surely.

seems ok to me, valid points, he's just a guy doing a job, i'm sure most people would move to a better job given the chance

There are ways in doing things, and there are not ways of doing things.. for example.. day to day life there are those willing to stay an extra month to train up and oversee whoever is taking over your job, then there are the qunts who wish to leave straight away or sit there for a month doing fcuk all or prefer gardening leave.
