Having dinner near his family home? Not that far to drive really. He has said in a few interviews how he goes home as often as he can. Would be difficult from Madrid mind

That is about as balanced as it gets.

The only way I could accept Bale leaving this year for something stupid like £100m. Despite that though I can't see us being able to replace him, not just directly but also indirectly as the number of potential high profile signings are limited now and I can't see the likes of Rooney wanting to come here atm.

Would Willan be available, and do-able if we sell Bale?
I heard he was unhappy wherever he is at the moment.

So what's the latest on Bale? Suddenly a wave of ITK and a few jouno's on Twitter suggestion he's staying. Is this a final serving of false hope before the inevitable kick in the nuts?
