Cheers for posting.

That Levy has backed managers and directors of football as far as he reasonably could has imo been pretty obvious based on our transfer record.

Nice gesture for Redknapp. Easy for managers to blaim the club/chairman when things don't work out. Not saying that's never warranted, but shouldn't always be taken at face value when it happens.
HR has always taken this line when I've heard him speak in recent years.

I read this another way - he’s stirring brick with the fans by saying we should’ve got fourth, knowing that will fan the flames, regardless of what he says about Levy.

I get this is my bias talking - I can’t stand the self-preserving, self-aggrandizing rent-a-gob - so accept others will disagree.

Redknapp says different things on different days. Just recently he was speaking about Levy not being willing to pay up to sign Hazard and also that infamous January when we signed Saha and Nelson to his distaste.

I had a very surreal and probably a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet Daniel Levy, Donna Cullen and Scott Munn and translate for very special supporters club meetup. They were all supper positive and very friendly.

I came away with the feeling that Scott Munn is very good at what he does.

You can't leave it at that! Fill us in, we want details.

We were told we could ask absolutely anything, but the Japanese guys were all very nervous (understandably) so it was pretty clean. Just talking about how to grow the fan base in Japan, unique things about supporting Spurs here etc. Nothing juicy at all. I had some things I'd like to have asked by 9 of the 10 Japanese guys there don't speak much English so it would have just been me having a chat with Daniel Levy and it didn't feel right.

Fair enough. What was levy and cullen like though?

Levy was nice, very much seemed like he wanted to meet the organising group and not just doing it out of necessity. Seems really open to Spurs fans. I had a bit of a chat with him just saying how much I loved the new stadium and I'm very happy with the new direction. He said "yeah, we just need some patience now" and I said "yep which not all fans are" to which he nodded and smiled.

Donna Cullen seemed nice enough...hard to really know because I don't know much about her. But she was sweet and kept telling Scott and Daniel to stop so I could translate a bit.

Scott Munn was cool. I said to him and Donna basically what I said in the Sonny thread -- he's all smiles, just an amazing ambassador for the club and Scott said "I've never met an athlete like him...not just footballer, athlete." I said "does he just get it?" (meaning the fans and what it means) and he said "he's just down to earth, and it's all real. That's exactly what's he like away from the cameras" to which Donna agreed.

As I said above, I was impressed with the little bit I heard from Scott. I asked Daniel why they did Asia two years in a row. Was it Sonny? Growing fans? He said it was a combination of that, AIA, the fact that many teams were doing America and that they were invited by the J.League. And actually that might be of interest. Scott said "from a footballing perspective we wanted somewhere we could go and ensure the young players travelling could get exposure against high quality teams around their age group," referring to the training ground friendly they played against a Japanese youth side on Thursday.

Sounds like you've had some great experiences out there @tommysvr - hard work though.

I wonder how usual it is for Board members (of other clubs) to do these types of events on overseas tours? I suspect unusual, and maybe this was a bit of an exception, but it is good to hear we are doing it.

They are looking for investment. Munn worked in asia for city aswell.

From my knowledge, the only other time they did it was in Perth 2023 (v West Ham trip, Ange’s first match)
