Agreed. Top level performance.

Still remains to be seen if he would be even better on the right imo. To me looking a natural on the left now.

Good problem to have. Assuming we stick with Ange and this system means that if we want to add another full back in the summer either side would be really useful. And even if we add another LB having one full back capable of playing both sides can be really useful. Can have an injury and still be able to rotate both sides.

Keep him at LB at at somepoint Porro will burn out and we will need to shift him over anyway.

We have 3 good fullbacks.

I do agree Udogie is (at least) a few games away from starting though.

Move his to RB, and your asking a lot for a player just coming back.

Spence is comfortable on both sides, and I'm sure will be happy to play with to keep getting game time

Think Udogie and Spence would be good as a "partnership", but also think we'd miss Porro. Of the three of them he has the best ball striking, passing, crossing. Udogie and Spence are a bit similar.

Spence is amazing with his dribbling and ball carrying though. Combined with strength and speed. When the combination play also works he's a real handful for anyone.

Looking forward to seeing Spence with Odobert ahead of him. Think that will cause a lot of defenses real issues.

I think we forget sometimes that Udogie is only 22 and has yet to hit his peak, he should return when fit and Spence can move over to RB. As for Porro I think he can be a player who would look very good in M/F as his range of passing is very good.

You're both missed the point entirely. It wasn't inaccurate, he absolutely was a club signing and one that Conte the coach at the time didn't want. Theres nothing controversial in saying this. The problem wasn't the signing of the player, the issue was hiring a coach who isn't willing to work with club signings that he does not approve of. Again the idea that Conte would react that way was not surprising in the least.

It's all on Conte. Unless he had in his contract that he'd only use players he'd signed, which is extremely unlikely, It's Conte not doing the job the club hired him to do. Spence had obviously been scouted, and deemed to fit both profile and style, and would have been a great fit for how we played under Conte too.
Frankly, his behaviour regarding Spence is like a fudging 3 year old not getting candy when he wants. Utterly ridiculous.

No I didn't prefer we didn't sign Spence again you're making up brick and attributing it to me.

I preferred we didn't hire Conte in the first place. Why hire Conte if you're gonna buy a Spence, that's not the kind of player he would sign or play.

If you actually read my posts you would know I do want to sign Spence's I've complained for years that we don't.

I would absolutely keep him as first choice even when Udogie is back. Udogie was brilliant for the first 3-4 months but he’s not hit the heights since then IMO.
