Destiny Udogie

I'm fishing this thread from page 4 to say: what the hell is going on? I'm thinking it must be the system since so many players seem so disjointed, but I felt like Udogie was so bad yesterday. He was never on the same wavelength as anyone else: poor passes, defensively ineffectual. Spence is really making that LB spot his if Udogie plans to keep playing like he did yesterday.

He's been poor all season to be honest. The injuries (his and the teams) haven't helped, that and our suicidal tactics

Really? No credit for last nights performance? The second half he was our best player and the most dangerous player on the pitch. I hope this gives him the confidence to go on a good run now, thats the Udogie we want to see.

It was a good improvement on his performances, but Bergvall was the best on the pitch.

Nice to see him take on players again. Need to see more of that as he has the strength to power through people.

He has shown in his Udinese days that he is lethal going forwards.
However, as each game he plays in Ange's system he looks more and more clueless when getting forward. He often stunts our attack, standing in others ways and when he does get in good positions rarely knows what to do with the ball. Him and Son link up very badly too.

Another suffering in our set-up imo

The strange thing is, when he runs to the highest point of the triangle via the inside channel no-one passes to him (usually Son or Maddison), but when he advances around the back of Son on the overlap, Sonny lays him in and Udogie looks dangerous and often delivers.

Yet which move do we choose 80% of the time?
