Destiny Udogie

I think he looked the best he's looked since coming back.

Some of the power and strength and ball carries we witnessed in his opening season

Utilised correctly, we'd get so much more out of him. He has the raw ability, some of it not really raw tbh. He could be a player that dominated his side of the pitch imo.

He looked better than he has been for sure, but that says as much about how poor he has been for the past few months than anything else as he was 'decent' not sure he was better than that. Hopefully he can build on this and get back to the levels he was at originally, he has the ingredients for sure....

He needs to stay fit and get a pre season in
I don’t think he has got near to his peak fitness this year off the back of last season injury

He has shown in his Udinese days that he is lethal going forwards.
However, as each game he plays in Ange's system he looks more and more clueless when getting forward. He often stunts our attack, standing in others ways and when he does get in good positions rarely knows what to do with the ball. Him and Son link up very badly too.

Another suffering in our set-up imo
The Udogie I saw for Udinese and the player I see for Italy stays wide and adds width using his pace and dribbling to overlap and add depth to the attack. For us we ask him to come inside and he's ok at it, but really doesn't have the short passing game or accuracy to make the most of those positions. It also means he's usually no where near able to cover the opposition attacker given he's both longitudinally and latterly out of position.

He's another player that you'd have to think playing under a different coach and in a more conventional way would do better as that would actually suit his attributes better.

Yes i also realsie though that you can't have a passing triangle with only two people.
That’s how you play pass and move
Unfortunately in our case it’s Maddison to son.. a slight jiggle and then Maddison will move further backwards and then get a return pass
But hey I’ll end it there
