As if that was likely. Levy got his excuses in well before COVID had even taken hold - remember 'there's a pandemic on and people are talking about transfers like nothing's changed?'

Any hope that we'd do anything to back Mourinho probably died right then for a lot of folks. This stuff just reinforces it.

We've seen this story, we know how it ends - it ultimately ended the same way for every one of Levy's managers left to dry.

Or, as a businessman understanding the business he is running, he could foresee the impact shutting down football and other crowd-based events (relevant for us of course due to the other planned stadium events) would have on the club's financial forecasts and future plans.
