Circus ManUnitus - Nobody's At The Wheel

Forget whether overrated or not, this exodus of out of contract players shows bad management. Why are they letting so many contacts run down? Fine several are getting old and none may be wanted by the new manager, but it seems such a waste. Didn't West Ham want to sign Lingard?

You could argue Man Utd can afford it, although given the competition from financially doped clubs this is debatable. However, with so many players uncertain about their future, unwanted or unhappy, it's not going to create a good dressing room environment.

Juan Mata joins Manchester United summer exodus as contract expires

Manchester United have confirmed their long-serving midfielder Juan Mata is leaving when his contract expires at the end of June.

This is a summer of change at Old Trafford as Erik ten Hag takes charge and a number of big-name players head for the exit. United announced on Wednesday that Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard were going and the departures of Nemanja Matic, Edinson Cavani and Lee Grant have also been confirmed.

You're asking why their letting players contracts run down that they don't want and who have been part of the club's downfall in recent times?

Does it seem to you like there has been a good dressing room environment this season with these characters? To be fair Mata and Matic are probably good to have around but both have physically declined quite drastically.

Easy in hindsight but they should have got something for Lingard last season whilst his stock was high.

They're letting them run out so they can get rid of the players. The problem starts when they give academy players 200k a week to sit on the bench and higher profile players twice that.

Rashford currently has 1 year left plus an option for one more. Most United fans seem to have finally realised how poor he is and desperately wants rid, which means letting his contract run out as nobody (except maybe Saudi Sportswashing Machine) will pay any kind of fee and take on his gigantic wages.

Excellent.

United are pretty much the blueprint on how not to run football operations. As a business they're doing well and earing brick loads of money, despite all the money they are throwing around on ridiculous transfers fees and wages for useless players.

I have to admit i do worry that Manure are a Bissouma-De Jong anchor midfield axis away from being a real force again next season...hoping Ten Haag is another Frank De Boer...

Are they? Ronaldo is their only cf. Their defence isn't great. Good goal keepers. Sancho, rashford, fred, bruno. Will van de beek get a look in? Greenwood is probably going to prison.

They are a mess.

Sorting out the centre of midfield can work wonders as we can attest.
Luckily they won't be getting Bissouma and are still a mess atm as you say

I am intrigued to see if this will change under Ten Haag...

Think it will. They usually buy a big name player to give their share price a boost. Their shares are currently at a record low at the moment i believe. Think they've realised they have to build a proper team. They brought in Paul Mitchell as head of recruitment. So they might step back.

Getting rid of pogbsh1t takes them a long way to sort a lot of their problems. Absolutely horrible little whining bitcht snowflake of a supposed footballer. He's utter garbage in every way!
