How's it kicking the can down the road? His signing wouldn't count towards psr. They are not short of money. He's u21 so can go in the academy if needed or on loan.
So you think continuing to dish out 7+year contracts to all these players is sustainable?
 
For a 19 year old? Probably. Risky. But so is having a shorter contract a player can run down.
Not just one 19 year old, surely that’s obvious. They have a huge squad, many on such lengthy contracts. It’s unsustainable, and has been widely seen as such. If you genuinely cant see that, then I’m not going to try and change your mind.

As i said it's risky. What i can't see is how it's "kicking the can down the road". As you commented. Why would a 7 year contract be kicking the can down the road rather than a 5 year contract?

I will be stunned if he signs for less than £300k a week. He actually wants way more than that. Heck, Sterling is on £300k and Rashford £350k
