He could be #2 or #3 in Barca's list and has been advised to sit tight and see what happens? The Rabiot deal falling apart might have had an effect which brought him back into play in their thinking?

It's hard to get any indication out of Eriksen.

For me the concerns over Sane have nothing to do with ability - technically the guy has it all, imo. It seems more likely that it's either an FFP thing for City or the man's attitude is off. Taking the WC situation into consideration I'd guess it's the latter.

I wouldn't put a knock against Sane for not fitting in with Pep, he's not the first player Guardiola has taken issue with, often irrationally, don't forget that for all of the success he completely fudged up his relationship with the best player he ever had.

Yeah, in terms of raw ability he is the best I have seen in a while, since Hazard maybe. Pep's reluctance to play him all the time must stem from something though. I guess a clash of egos. Pep is a fantastic coach (he is, much as I hate to admit it) but a giant bellend. And Sane has a giant tattoo of himself on his own back. One is a misunderstood clam and the other is also just a misunderstood clam. Maybe we'll just call it a draw.

I think it was. I'm sure I remember a statement about it being for the good of the team as a whole. Didn't sound like a tactical comment
