Madrid fans are simply awful, I went to the Bernabau a few years ago when the original Ronaldo was playing
He had been injured for some time and had been pictured partying at the Rio carnival, all through the 1st half the Madrid fans kept shouting Ronaldo es gordo (Ronaldo is fat)
Then he went bang, bang,bang an awesome hatrick in like 10 mins, then he was a hero again, terrible fans who think the footballing world owes them

Funny thing is he is still not the best player in my eyes that we have had for the last few years. I rate Berbatov as better and going back a bit Ginola and Klinsmann and Sheringham. Bale is a good player but take away his speed and I think he would be average at best.

agree with you here. One of Bales most deadliest assets is definitely his pace and power. But you take that away from him and he'd almost certainly adapt. Giggs did.

Only difference between him and say siggy is his pace.
Still can not use his right foot and was awful in that final. Glad they won and I am happy for him who seems like a nice guy but the only thing world class about him is his pace. There have been other fast players who did not reach his level so he has something. But I am yet to be convinced his all round game is that good.

true. I think he'll have that pace for a few more years yet. By then, I'm sure he'd have won numerous honours and will get picked/played on that alone, much like Giggs in his latter career basically.
