Alejo Véliz

I like the look of 21 year old Delap, but wonder why City released him.

Interestingly, Veliz is the same age. Scarlett is one year younger and Lankshear is 2 years younger at 19.

I hope they all have Solanke's desire. It goes a long way.
He wanted to leave
Like Cole Palmer, they don’t stand in the way of players leaving.

If like us to seek Richy and get Jonathan David in on a free. Use the Richy money to buy Eze and give us the extra 10 we need
I really rate delap
He was doing great things at youth level before he seems to disappear for a bit. Personally I think he would be mad to leave Ipswich if they stay up

Not even sure of that.

Veliz had less that 60 mins of play, 10 mins here, 10 mins there and scored a goal and his work rate was equal to Kulu, until that very unfortunate injury.

It goes back, to putting more faith into the players we buy. Kane had a poor time at Norwich, got his chance and took it.

Veliz played for Rasario in the Argentine league as a regular. It's not like he fresh out of boot camp, just need to time to adapt to the English game... How can he adapt to our game if we keep loaning him to clubs in Spain.

It's fecking stupid.
Ange is putting a lot of faith in young players. He's shown that repeatedly, particularly with younger players we've bought.

If he thinks they're not ready I trust him on that. He has a lot more information and knowledge available to him than we do.

It's not stupid to try to evaluate if a player will be ready or not and act accordingly.

I had hopes for Veliz last season but he clearly still needs time to develop before being ready for PL play. But there's a decent striker in there.

I also had hopes last season that we'd be in the mix to buy Jonathan David. He's done nothing since but vindicate that notion, scoring goals aplenty for club and country this season. He'd be well suited for Ange's style of play.

And can play wide

Who? Veliz or David?

I've covered Canada's games with David up front. He's never a winger, more central target man or the proverbial fox in the box. I haven't seen Veliz play out wide but love the athleticism he possesses.
