Bought the WC ball for my son today, and I must say it felt really good! It's got a texture that makes it grippy. If paired with the original Adidas predator boots, with the rubber grip on the inside of the boot, I think you could achieve some insane bend on the ball! It's a classic, and already up there as one of my favourite World cup fotballs, along with the Azteca from '86.

I had an Adidas ball with a textured surface back when I was still playing and it was beautiful for bend and back spin.

Nothing will ever top the Tango from 78 for me.

Much as I enjoyed the England result and performance, at times it was thrilling, not been able to think that recently. Hope this display gives the players the belief to keep this style up. There was some sloppy passing but it was progressive, some players need to improve but hopefully that will happen as the competition goes along. It was a little worrying to see us fall back into the "lets keep this lead" mode late in the game, you just put pressure on yourselves doing that. I was sad to see Modric struggling to have any influence on the game. He looked a dejected character when subbed, perhaps a tournament too much for him.
