World Cup 2018 Group F (Germany, Mexico, Sweden, South Korea)

Germany did deserve to win. I want them to go through so we have all the quality teams in the knockout stage. It gets really uninteresting when cloggers are playing cloggers.

Yeah, I can agree with that. I do like a good underdog story, but we shouldn't have too many. Germany going through is probably a good thing.

Jerome Boateng. He's like some fashionista or something, and every time he sees a pair of shoes he likes (which is supposedly quite often), he wants to have it in 10 different colors or something. :p
Imedla Marcos.

I like him as a player though. He looks a little cumbersome and slow, but actually covers the ground quite well, makes good decisions (normally) and is a good footballer.

I think the opposite of this ;)

He was especially terrible today, but always looks like he's got a rick in him to me.

Really poor game management from the Swedish. 93rd minute and they could've played into the corner, but they gave it up. They then should've fouled one of the German's on the halfway line, but let them advance all the way to the edge of the box.

I can see how you would think that but obviously you'd be wrong ;). To be honest I had this opinion of him too but I changed it as I was just focusing on the mistakes, which they all make every now and then. Boateng normally cruises through games unnoticed just mopping up and doing the unspectaclular stuff. He is very very good at it to the point that when something goes wrong it is very obvious. He is better thsn you give him credit for.

“Germany going through?” Look, I am prepared to go out on a limb here and say Sonny will take them down a peg, earn SK a draw and in the process get Swedish citizenship which it would be rude to turn down!!!!!

Comically inept at the end. When you've got an opponent down to 10 men, don't make it easy for them. Best tactic when advancing with the ball is to kick it well past them and run after it, making them turn and run and expend extra energy. If you win, you've gained position on the pitch, lose and you're still goalside. Instead, the Swedes often tried to beat a man one-on-one, lose the ball and have to cope with a swift counter attack. Total donkeys.

Germany will be leading South Korea by at least three goals at halftime. Mexico will give Sweden a hard game, doing no worse than a draw and win the group. The Swedes will go out and Germany will get second place.

The upside to this? Germany will play Brazil in the Round of 16.

Mexico did well to beat South Korea for their second goal. But Mexico still wasted many chances like against Germany. They need to be more clinical in front of goal if they want to go very far in this World Cup. Son scored a brilliant goal but South Korea looked very poor in both of their matches against Mexico and Sweden.

Sweden came very close to beat Germany for the first time in 40 years but their stupid defending cost them any points. Sweden played very well and deservedly took the lead in the first half. But they never turned up in the second half, letting Germany completely dominate the match. Even after Germany scored the equalizer, Sweden still had chance to draw this match after Germany had a player get red carded but they were casual in the last few minutes, allowing Germany to score the winning goal in injury time. Sweden should have defended better for the draw instead trying to attack and losing the ball in the process. It was also stupid the way the Sweden player who had come on in the second half gave away the freekick in dangerous position. They could have at least defended better for the freekick but were too slow to close down which allowed the Germany player to score direct into goal without being challenged.

the germans always find a way to win, it didnt matter that the swedes were playing against 10 men and had the best chances in the game, the germans always find a way to win, rinse and repeat

Thought that was a pen for Sweden, no deflections and he’s controlled it with his arm, even though it’s by his side. Anywhere else on the pitch it’s handball.

Pesonally I dont care if the "Cloggers get through" we need new teams winning this thing. Not Germany AGAIN!

so some on Son. Stick a winner in and knock the Huns out.

I kind of assumed that Mexico was already through, but if they lose 2-0 to Sweden, and Germany wins, they're out!
