Either way, all I'm saying is that the fact that there are more clubs involved makes it more difficult for Levy to force the price down. Not impossible, but more difficult.

As a complete hypothetical, say Liverpool had gone for Lloris 2 weeks before the window closed last summer and we joined them. I don't think we would have gotten Lloris for the price we got him for in the end.
