The quick sales of youth players is obviously in an attempt to chip away at balancing the books and get 100% profit in for a player. Does hint to struggling to offload other players a touch to me. Surely Richarlison could get a move with 1 year left? Not even seen him linked away.

I get the board backing RDZ (if this sale is among his calls) and celebrate it after years of the board hamstringing our coaches, but there’s an obvious danger to short term planning in football. I just hope there’s more than one voice that’s being listened to at board level. Levy for all his faults often turned to Pleat for advice, no idea who the ‘football’ opinion is anymore

Players refusing to move (as is there contracted right) Richi has turned down moves that didn't suit him

Another issue of signing sub par players are shifting them, they will unlikely get to move to as big of a club as Spurs and as high of a wage.

De Zerbi seems to be clear that he wants the club to compete at the top. This is a consequence. He still seems willing to play young players - Mateus Fernandes is 22, after all. But he seems to want young players immediately ready to contribute, which is what Fernandes seems to be.
As were the fans, who also wanted the club to back a manager. And here we are...
When we signed Mateus Fernandes he was 21, and he only turned 22 about ten days ago. Looking forward to seeing this kid play for us...

It's a shame, cos I liked the look of him.

But I can understand why.
Rebuilding a team, so limited space for the youngsters just now.

Get the players in for now, that will be the base for a few years, then get youngsters coming through.

If we get europe we'll need 4 club trained players for a full squad next season.

Provided we keep Moore, we'll have 3 next season. Gray, Moore, Austin. 4 if LWB takes up a spot in the full squad for Europe, or (somehow) we get Kane to come back. It's not as much of an issue as it sounds like.

Put it this way, would you sign Richy?

We are going to have to make a move for him very attractive probably both for the buying club and to Richy.
