What was our worst ever signing?

Maybe not worth 16 million but that goal twas a thing of beauty although I still prefer Danny Roses'

David fudging Bentley

Sorry but he had one good season and all of a sudden was worth £25m (15m fee plus wages). This is why im wary about one season wonders.

Rebrov I think was just unlucky. I loved him as a player and at the time it was a massive signing BUT you buy Rebrov and get rid of Ginola was a big mistake as he didnt have the supply.

I think Rebrov's problem was more that he could be the supply but the dross we had around him just wasn't good enough to read what he was going to do, the only player who was anywhere close to understanding him was Stephen Carr

Raziak, beyond doubt.

Regardless of his fee, he was so incredibly out of his depth, it could've been me playing. Simply nowhere near good enough. I hope whoever scouted and recommended Raziak never did any work for the club again, because this was a disastrous signing.

In second place, if loans count, I'd put Frazier Campbell.

After losing both Keane and Berbatov, one of the most succesful striking partnerships we've had in the past few decades, we replace them with Pavlyuchenko (fair enough, given his reputation) - and Campbell. What an incredible downgrade that was. Campbell was not good enough either, yet that's who we end up with to basically replace Berbatov on the final day of the transfer window.

I did forget about them, maybe thats evident of how brick they were, but it was indicative of how brick we were in our business. Getting rid of players with no thought process.

maaaan i hated willy g and ade sooo much that day. the pair of ****s.

I don't get why people are mentioning all these cheaper players. Yes some of them were really poor, but most of them didn't cost us much in the long run.

Compared to the financial and opportunity cost associated with players like Rebrov, Bentley and the return of Keane players like Raziak, Saib and Khumalo barely made a blip on the "well, that was unfortunate" radar.

Oh, and how could I forget. Alan Hutton. What a dumpster fire of a signing that was.
