Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

My point is this is a thread on Ange.
Life supporting spurs carries on outside of this thread.
This is specific to Ange and his tenure as manager. The time and the place is this thread and it’s perfectly acceptable to discuss if viewpoints or narratives are changing around Ange without it diluting any enjoyment of last night

Given your valiant attempts to turn this exchange into an erudite discussion, I invite you to re-read your comment above and see if you can see any irony.

This not really about having a massive discussion.
Just trying to understand your point about hate.
It’s perfectly simple spurs fans can enjoy the win and still discuss on the suitability of our manager.

I don’t think there is any hate if Ange, just a feeling he is not a good enough manager for the club and that’s a valid opinion

Yes that's exactly what I mean.

I think you're saying that I never address some of the issues that surround Ange? That I think everything he does is perfect and if something goes wrong I'm scared to admit it? I guess you haven't been monitoring my activity that closely after all.

I think what @thfcsteff and others are saying is....

Can we just have that WW1 Christmas kickabout in no mans land for a few days.

I really do have to question the motives of people on both sides that are so eager to push this argument in the wake of last night. Less about the topic and more about winning an argument online i think.

We've a cracking chance of making a European final and winning our 4th European trophy - let's get that done first before worrying about the manager IMV

We got the job done. Credit to all involved.

But getting back in CL qualification contention isn’t something to be excited about, it’s something to expect.

A season in which we don’t qualify for the CL, is a failure.

I didn’t believe for a second from early in his reign we’d win anything under Ange. Since Everton, I’ve wanted him gone. After recent weeks, all hope was gone for me. I can’t remember being as apathetic about Spurs. We’d limp out of Europe and Ange would be on his merry way…

After last night, a flicker of hope has returned. We may just win this trophy. I can see a way. I may have been wrong. If that’s the case, maybe Ange is right about his methods working. Maybe a Europa League win can be a springboard. Maybe…

I still don’t believe in Ange and if you were to ask me now, I’d have him out the door at the seasons end come what may. But if I can be wrong about him winning a trophy here, I can be wrong about other stuff too.

Upshot is, what happened last night is great for our club. This European run could be salvation for the club and provide a great foundation whatever happens. That’s all that matters at the moment.

He’s too far gone for me, I hope we win the Europa and get back in the CL, but I want a new manager regardless.

We’ve been too brick in the league for too long.

Strange how we get embarrassed by Wolves and you're nowhere to be seen but as soon as we beat an average team you reappear with sarcastic comments, could be just a coincidence I guess.

I have to admit, I thought we played really well last night, looked solid and disciplined. Just a shame it come 18 months too late.

And for the record I really wanted it to work out for Ange and despite all the criticism he gets I still actually quite like him. If he had done what he did last night 18 months ago I think he would still be in with a chance of keeping his job but I feel he's left it too late. The change of approach shouldve happened a long time ago and it was obvious for everyone to see

Mate Wolves finished at midnight on Sunday night/Monday morning my time. I didn't really fancy reading nothing but negative comments so I stayed away until Friday morning. Not sure there's a huge problem to be honest.

I've stayed away at other times this season and also posted after several negative games. GHod, if only posted here after we won then I'd probably only have about 10 posts to my name.

How about you bury the hate and enjoy a big moment all of us and our beleagured club!
That’s why I didn’t say anything as I’m still disappointed with our season. One result doesn’t change my opinion. So like I said it’s difficult to get excited about it
