Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

ME either and he has fallen off a cliff this season, I know Palace have but for a 65m player to not eve step up and stand out in that decline, thats a worry. We have had many of them in the past

Whoscored has him at 9 PL games and an average rating of 6.9. Marc Geuhi is at 6.8.

As a comparison Kulu is 7.05. The mad thing is that everyone is talking Madds down. His PL rating is current 7.55.

I'm not sure what exactly is happening at Palace but hope we bury them at the weekend.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Maddison, just happens to be the spacegoat when Werner isn't on the pitch and is held to a different standard to others....

I'm a little on the fence with this. I've always loved it when Spurs improve and the expectations on our best players go up with it. I don't think anyone is making Madds a spacegoat, more trying to get more and more out of him. Ditto with Romero, Udogie and Johnson.

The direction of travel is good right now.

Let's hope we don't succumb to Palace like we did Brighton!

Maddison i believe has had the most goal involvements for us, so that probably explains his high rating

He wouldn’t be £65M next year
And it’s just an inkling I have that we will get him

Yeh bot for me, ok if we get him, mehhhh ok if we don't. For me key areas now are still wide (maybe someone who can play both sides), LB as people say, CM and a back up keeper. If Eze was ontop of that, cool

I think he has been spacegoated but of course just my opinion, every bad Spurs performance where almost all the team stink the place out it's Maddison who gets singled out. Romero and Udogie have been rightly called out for glaring individual errors made during games that have cost us goals so not the same thing for me.....

I think even both of those have been singled out for being worse than they actually have been also. Romero has been largely good this season, some hairy moments but all in all he has been fine. Udogie being young has had moments that look connected to his age with concentration and lack of game awareness, but again given that he has likely been rushed back a couple of times he has also been largely fine.

Like anything these days, likely something in the middle being the truth in it all, I don't see Madders as an issue, he certainly never comes across as the Prima Dona made out

We have a lot of CMs
I think angel gomes may be the solution we go for
Again just a feeling
We need left back for sure
Eze can play mid and wide
And someone like Jonathan David can replace Richy as left and centre too

I think there will be an upgrade though in CM personally unless Bentancur and or Bissouma prove longer term that they can hold the form week in week out, which without being harsh is their weakness IMO.

Maybe.
Not sure who we can get who is better
They are still elite players

That is where my head is at too. Ugarte was perhaps the realistic option that could have added something but he chose Utd. Conor Gallagher the other player, but not sure Chelsea would have ever let him join us. As an aside, I see Chelsea are now treating Josh Acheampong the same as they did Chalobah and Gallagher. He's not able to participate at the club until he signs a new deal.

I'm also really curious about Hall, Devine and Abbott. Not sure if there are others in the younger age groups as well but wondering whether we can enhance our midfield with our own youngsters within a season or two. That would be good timing as Bissouma goes into his thirties.

Ugarte would have been a step down for us imo
He will never survive at this pace (I hope I’m right)
We haven’t IMO had any links with any DM who is better than we have today
I’m sure someone is out there but…

Bentancur and Bissouma are not elite players :D

They are capable of putting in top performances, but not consistently and that is one of the main points to being elite - consistently operating at a high level.....
They play at the highest level of the game in the highest league
That’s elite

There are some good players out there still

If he wasn't 30, Andrich would be a perfect fit and Lever would never be able to keep everyone forever, but he goes against the age range. ON the other end of scale, someone who fits the ball retriever and turnover specialist would be Zubimendi, he would be a class addition.
