Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Who are the other 7?

Scott Munn was appointed before Ange and had a role in bringing him to the club.
It was well reported at the time Ange was well down the list. Slott, Naglesmann and Donald Duck were three off the top of my head. Perhaps if Donald Duck had got the job we wouldn't be fighting relegation

Reported where? Show us the articles/sources that said we wanted someone else.

Oh yeah alright. I'll track back 18 months and find the articles. You know as well as I do Ange was far from our first choice, even though he was cheap no doubt.

I mean yeah, you've heard of Google? It's very, very easy to search for stuff.

I also know he was brought in in part because of Scott Munn.

I assume this is one of the names you were sucked into, so here's a helping hand: https://letmegooglethat.com/?q=Tottenham+hotspur+arne+slot
Like I said, it was 18 months ago, and I struggle to remember what happened yesterday. Slott was one of them and Naglesmann definitely another. Pundits were saying that Ange well down the list, and based on his lack of experience at the top level it's pretty obvious that may well be the truth. Anyway, it's irrelevant now, as the bloke has made a complete mess of things, and in just his second season we find ourselves fighting relegation. He said he always wins things in his second season, I wonder if relegation counts?

If Ange wasn't well down the list of candidates then that would really concern me and lead me to question Munn's suitability for the role at Spurs.

I like Ange, think we might as well keep him right now and hope he ends up succeeding at Spurs but he had nothing like the credentials to be managing a club like Spurs.

The truth sometimes hurts. Take your head out of the sand, we are in a relegation fight, we have probably the worst manager in the league, loads of injuries, and the club aren't making any attempt to bring in new players
I thought being 'very old' you'd be (unknowingly) blessed that SM was something not in your orbit. Alas not, Rory's pearls of wisdom will always welcome the clicks....pays the bills.

Another thing that hurts is not being able to separate truth from opinion.

Are you so old that you grew up before they invented epistemology?

I doubt anyone would ever expect the list of injuries we've had. I thought we'd gone into the season three men light considering the season likely having 30 plus percent more games this season but even accounting for that I didn't expect quite this many injuries.
I know injuries get talked about a lot, on here, I'm general around Spurs. I think the negative impact of injuries for us this season still gets understated.

I doubt if he’s ‘very old’, or a ‘spur’ for that matter.
I'm 67, and been attending Spurs since 1971. I went 12 years without missing a home game, been to most prem stadiums in the UK, and been abroad 13 times to see my team. For what it's worth I even have Spurs Tattoo on my left arm
