Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

For me it's time for a change
I can't see him getting to grips with what is needed in the PL.

Our away record is abysmal.

No point changing before the summer, unless we really tank.

I'm quite ambivalent atm, I feel the club off the field is in good shape and that squad wise we're actually shaping up quite well, if Ange isn't the right man to take us forward there will be plenty out there who could. We don't need to gamble on trying to salvage a CL spot like we maybe needed to previously, let the season play out and work behind the scenes on a potential successor should they be needed in the summer.

We would never have a manager
I mean this isn’t new
The way we folded today is sexy in a nutshell
Issue is fans are reactionary to every result by default
We win midweek and against Villa (which I think we will ) and suddenly it’s a different outlook

It’s much more than the results for me, and the performances, as appalling as some of them have been.

I don’t like what he’s trying to do, I don’t like we only have one way of playing, I don’t like the acceptance of conceding chances, the lack of pragmatism, the refusal to waste time, to manipulate the officials.

Even when it works we have weakness, any game against a smart manager, or even just a manager with time to prepare, there is a blueprint to cause us problems.

I’m fine with it
All coaches embed their preferred system before changing to add other one

For me there is a worrying lack of progress. We always look vulnerable even when faced with basic hoof ball like we saw today. Instead we have regressed from the start last year. Also worrying lack of ideas in the second half. It would be hard to be as bad as we were in the second half of the Brighton game but this was a performance that was completely devoid of control and incision.

Yet to play several of the top teams. How will we deal with 4 or 5 more losses before the turn of the year? I feel like this is Hoddle “I’m scratching my head where that came from” type situation where it appears Ange doesn’t have an answer.

I’m happy to stick with Ange. I’m not sure it really matters who the manager is with the current owners.
About where I am. I don’t think he’s going to bring us success, but then neither did Conte or Mourinho. Poch also didn’t manage to get us over the line. There’s only one constant.

So, unless we’re heading towards relegation territory, I’d stick for the rest of the season. I won’t be surprised if he’s gone soon after the New Year, though, if we’re not in contention for a European spot.

I'm all for discussing Anges mistakes etc but finding the little clamour of sack Ange comments after every defeat way OTT. There is no magic bullet out there and we aren't backed by an oil state so no matter who the manager is there is going to be periods of pain and it's going to take time.

Sacking him would just mean we have to reset, wait another two years for someone philosophy to be properly embedded, whilst getting in his players only to then discover we probably still aren't good enough to challenge for titles and start the merry go round again. Or alternatively we could get in a Conte type again, that would be more fun :D....
Sack and reset fine, but give the new manager 1 season and 9 games for a club that hasn't won a league title in 70 years.....I wonder what the expectations are sometimes in all honesty.

Yeh sorry I meant the adding of the 10 bit....we were excellent at Old Trafford regardless
I got that mate don’t worry
I just don’t get it what’s flipped in
I’ve heard today that we only best west and United because they were crap bug couldn’t beat palace who are crap
We have some odd fans
