We blew it!

Its not that we didnt deserve it or we blew it, you dont get what you want in life. You work hard, you do your best. That doesnt count - Have you got the qualities to win at all costs? We dont. Move along and roll on next year and maybe we'll move closer....
 
You lot have short memories.

Of course we blew it, we were in the top 4 and people here were getting ****y.

That was last season. This season we went 7 points ahead after winning the NLD at WHL and it lasted a whole week until we lost at Anfield. Arsenal won at Anfield because they played them in September.

Let me just add that averaging two points per game adds up to 76 over a season. We are 4 points off what is often considered title winning form. Imagine how next season we will have one or two extra quality players to help us avoid the blips we encountered early on.

Give it a rest, eh? We're all disappointed not to finish in the top four but it has been a successful season and we are in a really good position to push on from here.
 
The only thing we blew was signing Moutinho - can't help feeling he would have made the difference to convert a few of those frustrating draws!

No use crying over that - the only consequence is whether Gareth can be persuaded to stay another year...

Most people have being saying for months on here, that we havent a chance of finishing above Arsenal considering their easy run in. And that only chance of us getting into the top four was Chelsea fudging up.

You have to realise we didnt blow anything. Arsenal had harder fixtures earlier than us and then were left with a tinkle easy run it. Of course they were behind us in the table for a while.
 
If you have to be brutally honest, we haven't played well enough at any point in the season to say we totally deserved it.

We've had an exceptional player who's won us an obscene amount of points on his own.

Would have been great to do it, but it wasn't to be.

No point being sad or angry about it, football should never make you sad or angry. For ten minutes after a game maybe, but no longer than that.

but that's his opinion though so why should he give it a rest?

we didn't exactly blow it. We messed up badly in 2 games near the end in particular but to say we blew it isn't really true. Now the reason why we didn't blow it is mainly to do with 1 player which shouldn't be the case but the Gooners went on an absolutely amazing run.

neither have Arse. They have played averagely this season too

many who watch Arse would say the same....the margins are so fine, thats why there was 1 point between the 2 team i guess

both teams played average football, and both teams on the whole ground out hard fought victories.

even down to the last game, Spurs scored in the last minute and Arse could so easily have conceded in the last minute and we wouldhave been in the CL. Thats how close the 2 teams are and have been
