Wonder if he's been offered the Munich (or Madrid) job? This all smells like a charm offensive, rather than just giving a 'see you' at the end of the season and picking up a new job. Come next season, he'll go full Redknapp "I was driving the missus nuts" and join a new team.

I think he’s a great manager but 1 league title in all his time here isn’t a great return. To be fair, City and Pep are the main reason for that.

He's done a pretty good job compared to City. Only five points per season compared to 15 or more for anyone else. . And half the gap was last season.

Extremely impressive. That front three of Mane Salah and Firmino was absolutely sensational.

Buying Van Dyke was his big step forward.

Amongst all the inevitably warm hearted tributes and eulogies, there is one aspect of his time at Liverpool that I hope is not glossed over - he has continually behaved like a monumental clam.
