Victimpool FC - Klopp leaving, grown men crying

This is bad if true as they might actually get someone good in.

Absolute disaster.

Ku Klux Kenny is the only manager who'd the fans would willingly accept keeping them in the bottom half for seasons and seasons - and thus keeping them off our back.

KKK is irreplacable for teams like Saudi Sportswashing Machine and us :)

Liverpool should seriously think about getting Benitez back. He's still considered a GHod there, and didn't turn into a bad manager overnight despite a few questionnable years. The goodwill generated by his reappointment would be worth a few points and momentum at the start of the season at least, and potentially get some big names through the door as well.

They tried the tactic of getting a manager from a smaller club with Hodgson and it didn't work.

Either Rafa, or I wonder if they'd consider if Harry would turn his head. Managing his boys old club? Makes you think ...

Failing those two - Martin O'Neill would be good fit too. Unless it's someone huge, I expect their new boss to be out of those 3.

If anyone fancies a laugh, the mods on RAWK have now actually allowed a thread discussing KKK's reign.

The Kenny Dalglish Discussion (*) - Post A Rumour and Get A Week Off Free

The cancers helped to dismantle our best squad since we won the League. The last time that sort of destruction happened was about 20 years ago with Souness.
For our recovery, Evans laid the ground work and Houllier built on it. Rafa then added massively to that.
I believe one of the reasons it took nearly 20 years to build that Benitez Liverpool, is because while the club sometimes came close under Evans and Houllier, the infrastructure was never there to build on those teams and finish top of the pile. Benitez nearly managed it and then those two cowboys destroyed it.
With FSG we seem to have owners who will not only run the club properly, but invest in the team when needed - something Evans, Houllier and Benitez never really had when it was most needed. Coupled with FFP coming into effect, I see no reason for it to take another 20 years to become a force again, but it may take 2 or 3 more seasons to get there.

I hope we can all agree that Kenny changed the system this year, and I can only assume that Kenny was at the minimum on board with that change. Almost certainly he was the architect of that change. Those who saw more of his teams in the past saw the lop-sided 442 that he used twenty years ago to fantastic effect.
I actually like how Kenny deals with the media. He clearly hates them and they clearly hate him. It's bad for PR for those who watch interviews, but personally I find it absolutely appropriate.
I want him to succeed so badly. His goal celebrations say it all for me. I don't want him gone this summer, or not even next year. I want him to catch up to modern tactics (like with the academy) and hire an attacking expert if necessary. He's not an idiot and he wants to win. I think he can learn and change, but he will need to for Liverpool to get back to where we were three years ago.

Kenny Dalglish is not delusional, if he feels he is out of his depth I think that he loves the club enough that he'd step down, but he wouldn't leave it in the brick.

Obsessed with success. I wanna watch the team I love standing from the kop play pass and move football on a Saturday afternoon with the King at the helm. I don't care if I have to settle with Championship football. The club is and always will be the support, Kenny is the biggest fan of us all we lose him and we lose what makes us Liverpool.

Once more, I don't trust the owners. The club appears to have stalled, the wrong people were placed in positions they weren't qualified for, and Kenny was left to do more than just manage the football side of things, particularly during the Suarez incident and aftermath, but that is not the only time.

What happened with Rafa still makes my blood boil. How could such a successful manager be let go after a season when clearly there were MASSIVE off-field problems that had a huge bearing in the seasons' results. A vocal section fans helped fan the flames lit by the media, there is no doubt about it. We are all reaping the results of that.

Firstly a moderation note: Roy Hodgson was never a Liverpool manager. If you think he was then you really do not understand the DNA of this club.

Our signings have not been the best but that can easily be rectified by Kenny and the new DoF , whoever he will be. We have to be patient and trust Kenny to pull the club in the right direction and not become a circus like some of our rivals.

There's no reason why we can't be successful with the squad pretty much as is. We only really need to sign cover for Lucas, cover for Enrique and an additional striker - we don't have to spend massive money, there is always room for maneuver and being shrewd. We have in place the big signings with big potential, now it';s time to weave in some bargains/experienced pros to provide the depth in certain positions we're lacking in.

Would be a huge mistake to sack Kenny. Continuity in football is half of success. Kenny has started the rebuilding process and is instilling a winning mentality back into the club, he must be allowed to continue.
My message to Henry and co: King Kenny deserves your support and a decent transfer kitty. Judge him after you put some real cash into the club. Football success is generally proportional to the amount of cash you spend...look at yourselves before looking at Kenny.

We need stability, Kenny gives us that and we need to stick with it.
What needs changing is the tactical mindset of the management and a more shrewd approach in the transfer market.

I've heard rumours that Dalglish has resigned. Probably just rumours. Can't see him resigning, far too arrogant

You couldn't pay me to have Suarez in our team. If we were on the verge of relegation and Suarez was the only option to keep us up I would begin thinking about how relegation isn't all that bad.

On the subject of Liverpool and Downing, I realised something the other day that I hadn't been aware of before. I'd read this quote from Werner:

"There was some footage of Stewart where he was, from 30 yards away, kicking a football into five different trash cans and it was brilliant," said Werner.
"John and I said: 'Oh my GHod, this player is brilliant, we've got to figure out a way to make a deal with him'."

And I never realised that said video is this:

Which is, of course, totally fake and set up, in the style of this

Fantastic

If he wasn't Kenny Dalglish, he would have got the sack by now.

Apparently Kenny and Steve Clarke have got on a plane to Boston to talk about their future.

I'd be sad if he got the boot, he's done a great job so far.

I can't believe our luck if they keep him.

Even better if they keep him AND rumours are true that they will let Maxi go (free!) and Kuyt too (?ú2m!!!).

He's so brick it's unbelieveable. With him at the helm and both Carragher and Captain Marvel (Wee Stevie) getting bricker each week passing, I reckon they can do an Aston Villa next season, providing Andy Carroll keeps eating himself unfit and Suarez keeps getting himself stupid bans.
