Obviously impossible to know from the outside what went into that decision. For me, from the outside, I agree that it's a bit of a gamble, but it also seems like a good decision to make.
More of a risk/reward, or upside/downside type thing for me. And potential upsides and downsides with both decisions. Seems like a solid decision to "gamble" that a clearly talented player would be able to and benefit from a step up.
Fair points, I had it in my head that he'd started a couple and then got dropped so I was perhaps being a tad dramatic!
I wonder how it's gone in terms of other times players have gone out on loan, then recalled to be loaned out to a higher level in January. I guess Tanganga has done the opposite of that and it seems to be going well at Millwall so far, which is nice to see.
