Troy Parrott

Gimenez - 41 games 26 goals 3,204 mins (123 mins a goal)
Parrott - 32 games 17 goals 2,157 mins (127mins a goal)

If your only taking in the league and playoffs then
Gimenez - 103 mins a goal
Parrott - 113mins a goal (159 mins a goal excluding play offs)

Either way it wasn't true.

I don't see his scoring 10 goals in a weaker league as being a reason he will be seen in a more positive light. 17 in the season is decent but it will be about how he steps up in better company.

Our last home grown striker didn't exactly scintillate on loan, so there's more to the decision than simple numbers.
Playing for a poor poor team with inferior players shows a lot about a players character

Looks like the academy system is at least consistently churning out sellable talents now. We do pay a lot for young talents (Johnson, gray etc) so recouping costs will be necessary.

Decent price.

I had big hopes for him after that pre-season display against Inter a few years back - he looked really impressive that day.

Taking your shirt off to pose while wearing a bra though...

Those are inflated prices that i hope will get looked into.

I hope Parrott does well over there, always thought he could be a good player, but didn't kick on for one reason or another.
I think he maybe fell between two stalls. At CF he was strong and powerful, but wasnt an elite finisher. Whereas at WF he wasnt overly quick or a top dribbler. He probably would have done best as a Kanoute type in a 4-4-2, which no one really plays anymore

Absolutely. These are wins. Not the big wins like having a Kane or King come through, but a good outcome. Most good academies that produce excellent players also produce good players that can be sold for a decent fee.

Good luck to him and hope we have some decent clauses in there.

Thought perhaps he would get a chance in preseason, but apparently Ange has made his mind up on him. Perhaps that says something about our transfer plans as well.

Got to assume there is a plan
Everything so far suggests that and the club have a lot of bodies in those roles

To be honest i am not surprised we have let him go, he made his first team debue 5 years back and despite several loans has not really shown how good he is or can be. Best for him and us that he moves on with his
future.

I think the same might happen to Scarlett too before the season kicks off. Veliz and Lankshear have kind of usurped them respectively in the pecking order.
