Just read it on bbc. I guess their budget was the 70m they spent in the summer, it just didn’t seem like they’d spent that much as none of them were players I’d heard of. Comsidering they are out of the CL it doesn’t feel like they are being particularly ambitious or have a lot of faith in Emery.
Especially with the sad death of George, meaning they can only field Andrew, Pepsi & Shirley.

70m in the summer and PEA in the winter windows, so well over 100m net spend in a year, not mentioning the ridiculous OTT wages they pay their players so the new signings will be on the same. All this without the champs league revenue. I’d say they have pushed the boat and it’s not really worked, you can’t level lack of ambition at them.
If I was anyone with a pulse, I’d take a three day old Chinese takeaway over playing for West Ham any day of the week....If I were a footballer I'd take the Chinese cup over a 14th place finish with Wet Spam any day of the week though.
Maybe Poch could hide in a bush and watch him from there!
