FTFY...

Have watched him a bit before and after our game, don't want him anywhere near our club the man like you say is a bit of cnutJefferson Lerma - would be a good squad addition.
Would offer good midfield protection for winks and when Eriksen drops deep.
Can get the ball forward well too.
And has the thing we really miss in CM.... he's a bit of cnut, but knows how to just about stay out of trouble.
Only 24
If Toby goes I'd like us to get Maguire, apart from being a good defender he's also dangerous at set-pieces, good on the ball and obviously home grown.
I think that Leicester would want van Dijk level fees for Maguire. That'd be our budget blown on one player.
We could also ge de light for about that with probably less in wages.I think that Leicester would want van Dijk level fees for Maguire. That'd be our budget blown on one player.
I can see us signing one player in the sort of £50m area, most liklye Ndombele, and then a couple others in the £30m-ish range (Sessegnon, Gomes, a RB etc) and then perhaps someone on the cheap. Or if we're extremely lucky and get Levy on a good day, Ndombele and then 3 others in the £30m-ish bracket
I could get behind that.
I think it's vital we add to midfield so that's why someone like Ndombele is a priority for me, then we see what happens with Eriksen and Alderweireld. If both or one of them leave us then it's imperative that they are replaced, as at present I don't trust Sanchez or Foyth to step up and be solid enough over a whole season and it goes without saying that losing Eriksen would put a major dent in our attacking play.
Sanchez stepped up and did ok last season. I think that they are both being groomed as Vert's and Alderweireld's successors. If Alderweireld leaves this summer, I would expect them to move up a place in the pecking order and we sign a new kid to develop.
There is also a base year of 2013 (I think) so we can increase wages compared to then whenever we raise themOne thing to consider when thinking about our transfer activity this summer - I believe the Premier League's Short Term Cost Control (STCC) regulations allow clubs to raise their wage bill by a maximum of either 7m a season (the flat amount), or by 7m + all increases in revenue the previous year.
Our revenue is going to go through the roof this year, once the 100m from the CL run is factored in.
In other words, if we want to increase our wages, this summer is the time to do it. In future, our revenue will not grow as much as it did this year (barring some large naming rights deals and such) in relative terms, which will make wage increases difficult to manage.
Ok last season, fairly poor this season, it doesn't leave me feeling confident. Sanchez has all the tools to become a great defender, it's just I don't think he's ready yet as there are aspects to his game that need fixing still. As rotation like he has been this season is fine however.
working on the assumption that we have a war chest of £150m and that Toby, Eriksen, Trips and Wanyama all go this summer generating another £150m, my wish list would look something like
de Ligt £70m
Ndombele £50m
Sessegnon £30m
Wan-Bissaka £50m
van de Beek £30m
and someone similar to Ziyech for about £30-50m
and the last £20 - 40m on youth
It's probably too many changes and totally unrealistic but it would give us a young group of pacey skillful footballers that would only need tweaking over the next few seasons
I think that people are going to end up being very disappointed if they are anticipating a £300m splurge.
