Transfer Tittle-Tattle

(4-2-3-1) Lloris; Wan-Bissaka, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Rose; Ndombele, Winks; Son, Alli, Eriksen; Kane.
Subs: Gazzaniga, Aurier, Dunk, Sissoko, Grealish, Sessegnon, Lucas.

Alasdair Gold is definitely one of the most reliable/pragmatic sources around (even though he basically throws water on every transfer rumor), so it's surprising and good to see him be so optimistic regarding NDombele and possibly resigning Eriksen. Obviously, Dunk is pretty underwhelming, and I don't see him being a better option than Foyth or a good fit for a high-line, passing side. Still, I'd be absolutely thrilled if we got Ndombele, Wan-Bissaka, Grealish, and Sessegnon.

Bringing in AWB and NDombele would so so boost our problem positions, plus it would give a player like Grealish a little bit less responsibility right away. I think it could allow him to kinda find his best place in a Poch system (a little like Dele) and not be automatically thrust into fixing a broken midfield, which I think he's probably not capable of doing. Then, Sessegnon could also learn from Rose and Davies, while getting some minutes both at LB and ACM.

.... basically just recaps all the gossip and finishes with@

How would the team and bench look?

So how would that rebuilt team look? Well the truth is that Spurs have a strong first XI - blah de blah, fcukin' boring blah, blah, blah - as well as leaving out their most improved player this season.

If I printed all the horseschitt that this dreadful website and self-aggrandizing fcukwit journalist create and used those pages to line the bottom of a bird cage, I'd be charged with cruelty to a poor animal.

I’ll admit I’ve not seen that much of Dunk, but he reminds me of Dawson - lots of blood & guts last ditch blocks and putting his head in etc. Think I’ve seen him play the big Hollywood diagonal too.

Given that most teams sit off us and give our centre backs loads of possession I’m not convinced he’s the best fit for us.

Bayern Munich are increasingly confident they will sign Germany forward Leroy Sane, 23, from Emirates Marketing Project this summer. (Mirror)

Still think we should be trying to get in on this...

Spurs are interested in Celta Vigo striker Maxi Gomez, who has a £43m release clause, and they want to sign the 22-year-old Uruguay international as back-up to England forward Harry Kane, 25. (Star)

Obviously Vigo stayed up then!

Tottenham hold talks over £43m-rated Maxi Gomez after Liverpool make transfer decision

TOTTENHAM are leading the race to sign Celta Vigo striker Maxi Gomez – with West Ham and Liverpool all but out of the running.

Spurs want the Uruguay star as back-up to Harry Kane and held talks with one of his representatives in London recently.

They are prepared to swoop for Gomez, who has a £43m release clause, with West Ham admitting defeat and Liverpool cooling their interest.

The Hammers came close to signing the 22-year-old in January when it looked like Marko Arnautovic would leave for China.

They hoped to resurrect the deal this summer – but have been told that Gomez wants to join a Champions League club instead.

Liverpool also made an enquiry for Gomez, who scored 13 goals and had five assists in La Liga this season for Celta.

But it is understood the Merseyside club did not follow up their interest and the player will not be heading to Anfield.

Borussia Dortmund could yet rival Spurs for Gomez but whispers of interest from Atletico Madrid were played down yesterday with one source suggesting that option remains “complicated”.

Celta have already signed a replacement after completing the capture of Penarol striker Gabriel Fernandez, but are in no hurry to sell.

Gomez is expected to play for Uruguay at the Copa America next month and his club believe that may boost his value and flush out more interest in him.

Is this lad actually any good? What sort of player is he?

Liverpool fight Tottenham, Bayern for Bundesliga free agent
Date published: Tuesday 21st May 2019 9:33

Liverpool are willing to compete with Bayern Munich to sign free agent Max Kruse.

Kruse’s contract with Werder Bremen expires this summer after a three-year spell at the Weserstadion.

The 31-year-old could be an unheralded bargain, having been named the Bundesliga’s March Player of the Month in a season that has included 12 goals and 14 assists in 36 games.

Tottenham and Inter Milan have both been credited with an interest in Kruse, but Germany’s Sport1 say Bayern ‘are already running at full speed in the background’ in their pursuit of a back-up for Robert Lewandowski.

Kruse ‘is on the candidate list’ for that spot as he is ‘more of a hanging tip or a playmaker’ than a centre-forward, meaning he would provide a different option.

The report adds that there have been ‘no concrete negotiations’ as Kruse is looking for ‘another major contract’ with ‘salary expectations in the higher single-digit million range’.

Liverpool are also named as potential suitors for the Germany international, having made a replacement for the outgoing Daniel Sturridge one of their two transfer ‘priorities’ this summer.

Record looks decent. He's an out an out centre forward, or so it sounds.

2015–2017 Defensor Sporting: 28 goals in 47
2017– Celta Vigo: 30 goals in 71

Is Hotspur Related that hungry for attention that they'll wave this sort of rubbish about to attract eyeballs?

You need to ask?

Hotspur Related is, for me, basically a NewsNow type thing. They aggregate all the rumours into one handy place - Ive never considered them anything other than clickbait though, its not like Id consider something reliable for appearing on their site.

I did, and he didnt blow me away. Looked tidy enough, a few good moments, but I wasnt watching him thinking he was a must buy or star in the making or any of it.

As I said up front - Ive seen very little of him - but if we announced his signing today I wouldnt be especially excited. I would have course be hoping for a very pleasant surprise once he gets going though...
Weird.... I thought Ziyech was clearly one of the best 3 or 4 players on the pitch in both of the games. Not sure what more he could've done really to impress?

Emirates Marketing Project wouldn't even sell us Sancho, who at the time was still a raw kid. There is no way they are going to let Sane join us.

Maxi Gomez is probably the one proper centre forward, likely to be available that I would be more than happy for us to sign.
